E&E #047 - Comic Book Genres: Fantasy Comics

In these genre-based episodes, I do a section that's a throwback to the old comics reading journal episodes.

So each genre, I'm going to look at and report what some of the comics I've read in these categories, what those have been over the last few years.

So over the last four Septembers, my reading for fantasy month has included So we got to start with the big guy, Conan.

And I've read, I think at this point, one through 28 of the current Titan run on the property.

These are mostly, if not all, written by Jim Zub.

They've done some minis along the way.

They've also relaunched Savage Sword of Conan in black and white with new stories.

That one may just be a digital only.

I'm not sure.

And Titan has also done a couple of what they're calling Savage Sword of Conan Reforged.

which is the original Marvel Savage Swords.

I'm not sure if those ones are available in print.

Those are definitely available in print.

Oh, okay.

Terrific.

Terrific.

Have you kept up with the Titan take on Conan?

I have not actually kept up with it.

A friend of mine, though, that is pretty much the only thing that he subscribes to is Conan.

It's pretty good.

Pretty good.

Yeah, he loves it.

Again, they've slowly expanded their offerings in that line, which is nice.

And now they've got those three titles.

I think that's the way to do that.
