Heroes Convention

I want to see you guys on the East Coast, though.

I got to go to Rhode Island Comic Con or New York Comic Con or Heroes Con or Mega Con or something.

I'm alone.

I'm in New Jersey.

But, but I'll, I'll let you have at it and let everybody know, uh, you know, what, what it was you brought tonight for #fantasycomicsmonth.

There is a connection that you and I have to this book, and that is that, uh, we met at HeroesCon 2026, and I picked up...

Actually, I picked up book two at HeroesCon-

How's it going, eh? Jim, on this episode we're going to be looking at issues 10 and 11 and 12 of Batman by Matt Fraction as we continue our prelude to Bad Seeds.

One of the cool things spinning out of Heroes Con was just the opportunity I had to meet and chat with other podcasters.

And one of them was Professor Allen from the Quarterbin Podcast.

And he was gracious enough to invite me on for Quarterbin Podcast episode number 245, part of the Relatively Geeky Network.

But I'm talking about if you just want to have your geek on, you can completely have a personal look.

I rarely see two people with the same dog on thing, which is crazy when you think about the amount of people that were there.

I was at Heroes Con.

And aside from the shirt that like they were giving out, most people that were there were flying their own geek flag.

Like, you know, we, we liked the same stuff and, you know, we're friends.

So we just kind of like went forward and just got it done and got it printed ourselves and, uh, brought it to Heroes Con.

A lot of people liked it.

So it was really cool.

You know what? I got this right here.

This is Kuretake, man.

But me and Kevin, you know, we tabled at Heroes Con together.

And James Herron was there, which was insane.

That's one of the nice things about cons was that you got to interact with fans.

I think we were at Heroes Con one time, and this gentleman came up and started talking to me because I was helping out at the booth, and you were standing over to the side.

And he started telling me how much he enjoyed the book.

And I said, could you wait a second? I said, I'm happy to hear it, but if you talk to that guy right over there, he's the creator.

We got to hang out a little bit at Heroes Con this year, and it was a pleasure making your acquaintance and so pleased to have you on the show today.

That is the nice thing about cons now.

That's great.

The last time I saw you was at Heroes Con of 2026.

We didn't have enough time to talk.

It was fun.

You had some jujitsu stuff going on that weekend even, I think.

Yeah, like there's always some jujitsu stuff going on, but nothing too big.

If anything, what I'm going to attribute the lack of time that we had to talk to is at this point, like now you've been podcasting, I've been podcasting so long that like even at a con, like Heroes Con, I consider myself like an F minus list celebrity.
