What if the anxiety you've been carrying your whole life isn't yours? And what if there's a completely different way to meditate, one that actually works for the way your brain is wired? Kelsey is…
Kelsey AndersonHostWell, one, I would have some type of practice where you're using your intention to get rid of excess energy.
And most people have no discernment when they're starting out because, once again, there is so much energy that isn't yours.
There has to be some type of grounding, whatever that looks like for you, and also moving energy.
I would especially say for people who are neurodiverse, there has to be some type of movement, whether that's physically moving your body, moving energy through your mind, because something has to move.
So whether that's through the mental realm, whether that's through the physical realm, but movement is so important with the intention that I am moving to get things out of my space.
So when I first started in meditation, I actually had to use the system that I teach now because it was the only system where I was moving through my mind.
If you asked me to sit down and meditate and just ground and be present, I would have become very dysregulated.
And so once again, it's really figuring out how your body wants to move and ground that energy out.
Once again, this could be any symbol you want to use, any intention you want to use.
I use the visualization to create the shielding, but this is so important.
As you do deeper healing work, you need to have some type of management tools where you are managing the space around you.
And then I would also say have a practice of calling your energy back, especially with the way we operate in this world.
And so one is a practice of literally calling your energy back, cleansed and hold to yourself.
I call my energy back, but these are like your hygiene to just get calibrated.
