But before we start, it's been a few weeks.
That's right.
So let's do a little catch up okay what are you reading what did you just read and what did you just add to your tbr
okay sounds good i feel like we have not done this in a while so i actually listed a couple books as i just finished smart because we haven't we've been out on we were out for camp and then we haven't filmed for being on a vacation and stuff so it's been a minute since we've caught up with you guys so this will be a big one catch up for both of us too that's right because i actually haven't heard like verbally i've seen what you've been reading on goodreads but we haven't talked about this as a chat so that's right i'm looking forward to it well let's do it hit me okay my currently reading i started a fragile enchantment by allison saft she's the one who wrote wings of starlight yeah and this popped up on my KU I've kind of was in between no it's like a standalone fantasy and it popped up on my KU it's like a recommended book and I was kind of in between things we've got a bunch of arcs and so I we just grateful very grateful grateful but it took us a minute to like get through them all right so we were kind of I was at this impasse of like I was like oh I'm kind of done with all my required reading right so what do I do exactly and so this one popped up and kind of I was like oh I liked Wings of Starlight I've never read anything else by her and it sounded very whimsical and so I'm not very far in I want to say I'm like four chapters in but basically it's a YA standalone fantasy and it's supposed to kind of take you back to like regency europe maybe but it's like a fun fantasy twist and so she's from a neighboring island to i guess england is kind of like the premise and they were at war against each other so their two islands don't really like get along and so but she gets invited to be the tailor for the royal wedding and the younger prince is getting married but it sounds like it's like a political marriage and so they don't really even like know each other i don't think so she ends up falling in love with the prince who she's making his clothes for his wedding Which is, like, crazy.
Yeah, which is what I understand.
And so it's, like, a political marriage.
So we haven't even gone to, like, that part yet.
And there's, like, a bunch of secrets.
And so there's also, like, a paper that we've just discovered in Chapter 4 or whatever that reminds me of Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton.
Oh, okay.
So it's, like, now that she's in the palace working, she's like, are these rumors true? Like, what's going on? And so...
It's been so cute.
Okay.
Starting out.
That
sounds
cute.
Yeah.
So I'm excited to hear.
Yeah.
I'll keep you posted.
So that's what I just started and I'm currently reading.
I had been reading that with my eyes if you guys have been listening um we read the first one for this month for book club and so I started the second one but I just watched the show you guys and it is literally the same like they almost didn't change anything which is good I'm proud of them for doing that but it almost felt like the book I was like I already know absolutely I everything that's gonna happen so I finally got my Libby hold so it's been like a month I've been waiting on that thing and so I finally got it and so I'm almost finished with it on Libby it's a pretty short audiobook so that's what I'm currently reading okay okay I just finished here are a couple books So I just finished The Second Death of Lockie by V.L. Bovalino.
We have another episode coming up of books I don't recommend.
