Halfway through the York Ebor Festival, which is a nice thing to say, isn't it? Four days, what a perfect amount of days, uh, for a racing festival.

Uh, and despite the, uh, potential thunderstorm warnings and all that jazz, uh, the, the rain that came just took the sting, sting out of the ground, uh, and, uh, made the racing, if anything, uh, slightly more enjoyable.

They were strung out.

There wasn't as many hard luck stories as you might well get as they bunch up rounding the bend, uh, on fast ground.

Uh, but, uh, still, uh, at least we've got those pacemakers to make things interesting, haven't we? Uh, Kalpana scrambled home in the Yorkshire Oaks.

We'll be seeing what the panel make, uh, of, uh, that, uh, in a second.

Uh, and we might well have found a Group 1 horse in that sales race.

Oh, no, wait, we already knew there was a Group 1 horse [laughs] in that sales race, uh, and some goddess absolutely dotted up.

Uh, we'll talk about the, uh, the other action on the card as well.

Uh, Andrew Balding, he's not a bad trainer, you know.

Uh, and if York is such a weird track, why is it that all of Balding's horses and all the Judmont horses seem to act on that surface every time they turn up? Uh, what will we get tomorrow? Well, we're gonna get very, very fast horses in the Nunthorpe.

Uh, is Baqio just a handicap blot who's gonna get blown away tomorrow, or is he gonna blow them away again, uh, and beat some aging, overrated sprinters? It's gonna be sprint bingo.
