Darren FrehillCORRESPONDENT
4:38
Such a pity for Seamus, hoping to secure a PGA Tour exemption, but a second-place finish does.
Darren FrehillCORRESPONDENT
4:45
secure him a full tour card for next year and I'm sure he's delighted with that the curtain comes down on the flat season on Sunday at the Curragh Aidan O'Brien will be crowned the champion trainer and Billy Lee will be securing a very first jockeys title and as we know racing remains one of the few sports where women and men compete against each other But it's rare for a jockey to balance being a jockey as well as being a mum.
Darren FrehillCORRESPONDENT
5:08
Jessica O'Gorman from Clare is doing just that.
Darren FrehillCORRESPONDENT
5:11
And she has enjoyed a very productive campaign and has been speaking to Dave Keane about the joy of being able to compete.
Anne Marie DuffPANELIST
15:34
realise he'd been mentioned a little bit before yeah he was an eye catch for me as well you know a nicely bred horse and again possibly a Crystal Ocean horse might be better on better ground but yeah the breeding even in Crystal Ocean Stowaway it sounds like nice jumping blood there yeah he was an eye catcher alright but yeah Wexford those few crazy things at Wexford as well
Mark CostelloHOST
15:52
Yeah, with Paul Nolan having a one, two, three, four, I thought Gerry Hannan was going to give it that kind of a Aidan O'Brien, eat your heart out.
Mark CostelloHOST
15:57
Paul Nolan is in the first four in the race.
Mark CostelloHOST
16:01
It was just as
Mark CostelloHOST
17:00
Doncaster had the Group 1 Futurity Trophy on Saturday.
Mark CostelloHOST
17:03
St. Clair had three Group 1s on Sunday.
Mark CostelloHOST
17:06
Aidan O'Brien won three of...
Mark CostelloHOST
17:08
The four group ones.
Charlie FreemanGUEST
8:30
But I just, I don't really see that happening here.
Emmet KennedyHOST
8:32
Well, there wasn't strength and depth from the O'Brien team last year against that.
Emmet KennedyHOST
8:36
Never mind the fact that there's going to be Folsom Blues, a Group 1 winner, up against them as well.
Emmet KennedyHOST
8:40
So it's going to be a really interesting race.

Ryan AndersonGUEST
15:25
Getting out of the gate, not something that all the Euros do well, going five and a half, going the sprint distance, or in general on the grass, but especially going five and a half.
Ryan AndersonGUEST
15:35
If you are a quarter step, a half step, a full step slow out of the gate, that's going to cost you a lot.
Ryan AndersonGUEST
15:40
Now, obviously, the Euro trainers, Aiden O'Brien, all the others that come over for a race like this, they've adapted to that style, and we don't see that as prevalent, but still, some of these US horses still have a little bit of that advantage.
Ryan AndersonGUEST
15:52
I do think that they're going to go fast early, and for me, the way Brickyard Bell has finished those races has been really, really visually impressive.
Nick LuckHOST
10:10
big job right
Acacia ClementGUEST
10:10
she did yes yes with the jockey club so we're super proud of her and um we're being flagged to come across if you'd like to walk with us yeah
Nick LuckHOST
10:21
i'm walking with you So we're going to walk across the track now.
Nick LuckHOST
10:25
We've got to make sure we do as we're told.

10 MINS LATER

Nick LuckHOST
20:28
What does being a part of this event signify for you?
Mikey SheehyGUEST
20:32
I'm sure it's unbelievable.
Mikey SheehyGUEST
20:33
It's where every jockey, trainer, owner in the world wants to be.
Mikey SheehyGUEST
20:35
So, yeah, it's just the magnitude of this event is off the scale.
Nick LuckHOST
67:27
I
Ruby WalshGUEST
67:28
know he was riding for Aidan O'Brien but he and he was one of the first jockeys Irish based jockeys that turned the tide for Irish jockeys.
Ruby WalshGUEST
67:36
He got rides on English horses.
Ruby WalshGUEST
67:39
they brought him from Ireland to England to ride.
Scott BurtonGUEST
14:55
We've gone to very much in the last 10, 15 years where a lot of the top trainers will run their horses in a group one or a grade one first up, the Guineas or the Pau de Sey in France, without having a prep run because they want to try and keep that one extra horse bullet in the gun as it were uh for later in the year and if you start off by running a trial in april you may not have a horse left come the end of october beginning of november
Louie RabautHOST
15:22
we're talking uh of course with scott burton from the racing post here on blood horse monday previewing some of the european shippers coming over a lot of success for european shippers uh on friday especially we got to meet for example a horse like lake victoria a couple years ago aiden o'brien has swept the last four on the juvenile turf side who should we be watching for on friday
Scott BurtonGUEST
15:42
So Aidan probably has a couple of very decent horses in here in Great Barrier Reef and Hefner.
Scott BurtonGUEST
15:49
Great Barrier Reef ran third in the Dewhurst, which would be our best, traditionally our best two-year-old race for Colts.

7 MINS LATER

Scott BurtonGUEST
22:41
I think he's, uh, you know, he's, he's bringing a lot of good horses with him, but I think this guy is one that, that doesn't keep him awake at night.
Scott BurtonGUEST
22:48
I think he really, uh, is just a very, very solid horse.
Scott BurtonGUEST
22:53
Um, uh true love is interesting for aiden o'brien in that she has had a really really hard campaign and she doesn't she's not a strong stayer at a mile but she won the the 1000 guineas at newmarket and she really won when she had no right to uh over uh seven eights over seven furlongs in the pre-lafore last time she came from out of the clouds and really really toughed it out to just get the the better of a three-way photo so she might be the best of the rest of the europeans but um uh notable speeches is i mean he he's obviously got the beating of of rhetorical and of uh deterministic as well um I suppose either one of those might make the running, and the quicker they go, the better as far as notable speech is concerned, I guess.
Louie RabautHOST
23:44
Scott, I wanted to ask about Comanche Brave, who will be making the trip.
Nick LuckHOST
27:30
We heard from Dylan on Friday.
Nick LuckHOST
27:32
He then promptly went and won the William Hill Futurity Group One at Doncaster for Aidan O'Brien, who for good measure won one of the Criteria Grands.
Nick LuckHOST
27:43
at Saint-Cloud with drumbeat and then took the fourth of five French classics that he's taken this season with Queenstown in the pre-Royal Oaks.
Nick LuckHOST
27:52
So it was a pretty good weekend for Bally Doyle, even if not in quite the manner that a lot of people had anticipated.
David YatesPANELIST
27:58
Yeah, I think that's right.
David YatesPANELIST
28:00
Just going back to the William Hill Futurity, remember Noble Exhibit was the 11-8 favourite for that race for Aidan O'Brien.
David YatesPANELIST
28:08
He finished third.
David YatesPANELIST
28:09
Giant Sequoia, who is an impressive looking horse.
Tom KerrHOST

Dan Skelton went past a million pounds on the day the clocks went back.
Tom KerrHOST

Andrew Boulding needs £200,000 from somewhere to overhaul Aidan O'Brien in the flat trainers championship.
Tom KerrHOST

And Constitution Hill might be on his travels again, but to where? Welcome to the front page.
Tom KerrHOST
0:20
Jump Racing is back at Cheltenham and the flat season is not quite done yet.

16 MINS LATER

Peter ScargillGUEST
16:50
It's
Tom KerrHOST
16:50
funny how different the attitude.
Tom KerrHOST
16:51
I mean, Aidan O'Brien has never had a runner in Britain in December.
Tom KerrHOST
16:57
And I don't think even if Andrew Bolden was really going for it, that he would sort of change that habit, to be honest.
Bruce SladeHOST
5:25
Of course, Kiri Ma, an accomplished jumps jockey.
Bruce SladeHOST
5:28
And of course, Aidan O'Brien came from the jumps scene as well.
Bruce SladeHOST
5:31
So something about these... people and these trainers around the jumpers their ability horses very very fit while keeping them sound really has a nice crossover to thoroughbred flat training as well as it does jumps training so a little bit of insight there for you too finally the last thing i'd like to say about mr peters is obviously a guy that controls things all the way through you know he's a bit like his own breeding and racing operation like a godolphin where they're just trying to get every percentage right and i think that is where you know these organizations like the judmonts and the agakans etc just have such an advantage knowing families breeding to them to really accentuate the positives and negate the negatives whether it be temperament or soundness etc and then from every stage of their production to a racehorse just controlling it through raising them how they raise them where they're broken in he obviously is a person that's very keen on the middle distance races and he definitely leans that way in terms of the way he breeds And obviously you don't see many two-year-olds start for Mr. Peters.
Bruce SladeHOST
6:41
But he's also a guy that with his trainers, he almost has a set program and he has ideas on what he expects in terms of work and fitness.
Brendan DukeGUEST
32:50
Paul Nicholls is a very, very high class racehorse trainer.
Brendan DukeGUEST
32:55
prove themselves over the years but he's not the head boy he doesn't have a cato star he doesn't have a den man so there's not too much positive chat about paul at these breakfasts or dinners it's about dan skelton it's willie mullen it's gordon elliott it's henry the brown head It's Joseph O'Brien on the flat, Aidan O'Brien.
Brendan DukeGUEST
33:20
They want to be with the names.
Brendan DukeGUEST
33:24
That's the way it is.
