Ep 155 - Coastal High, Summer Goats, Bridge to Brisbane, Note from the Goat

All right, mate, let's jump into some trail then.

Coastal High was the third race in the Triple Crown, of course, in the Royal Border Bolt, and Coastal High, our classic race here in southeast Queensland, 50K and the Crunch 28.

I did a good little preview with Steve Jackson in the lead-up to that.

I said to him...

The race I was, I guess, looking forward to the most out of that was the female crunch race.

There was a number of ladies in that one who were very, very close in ability, and it certainly turned out that way.

I was looking through some of the splits, and even late on, it wasn't particularly clear as to who was going to win it.

But we'll go through the results here, Kyle.

We've got...

I don't think – I think we got a course record, yeah, but in the 50K we didn't.

But you might be able to give us some insight because one of your athletes actually took out the race.

So I don't know if you've got any info for us there, but let's just go through them here.

In the males, third place in 509 was Grant Rainbolt.

In second place, Antonio Arenas, 5.07.

I looked at his split.

He seemed to be finishing really quickly by the looks of it.

And Lindsay Lowry in 5.06. Lindsay, I just pulled up his UTMB page before we were talking here.

So this year, so Wins Coastal High, Wins Border Bolt.

He did the 100 at UTA as well, went 12.17 in the 100 at UTA.

Last year was in the Golden Trail, was 15th in the Golden Trail Series final and did the 50 at UTA last year.

So he's certainly having an amazing year this year with 100K at UTA and a good time of 12 hours.

And then, yeah, two big wins, Border Bolt and Coastal High.

And then in the females in the 50, in third place, six hours 20, was Flores Yang.

In second place, six hours and 13, was Jessica Hewitt-McTeague.

And in first place, Kyle, six hours and 11 minutes, Amanda Short.
