And in a lot of ways, to me, I was feeling a little bit of, whoa, deja vu watching yesterday's game.
Because in the first half, I was like, wow, are we about to see...
And yet and still, it wound up being a game that made you say, well, I guess they figured it out.
I guess they figured it out.
And I want to talk about it by comparing this game to a game that was two years ago in August.
And that was the 2024 gold medal game for the Olympics.
And for on the women's side, well, it was all about a foot.
That's what it was.
Kalia Copper had 12 points, 5 rebounds in that game.
But two of those players are gone this year.
They were supposed to be on the list.
to make the trip to Berlin, but due to injuries, they decided they stayed back in America and in place of them was Kiki Ariafin and Sonia Citroen.
So the reason why people were making a big deal about both of them being out was because they were a huge deal in Paris four years ago.
We saw a veteran American team in Paris for the Olympics play a very grueling and physical game.
She had a foot on the line, on the three-point line, and instead of her shot counting for three, it counted for two.
If she would have made that shot, or if she would have made it as a three-pointer, well, it would have went to overtime.
And who knows? Who knows what could have happened? But the reason why I really felt like deja vu to me, because that Olympic game was tied 25-25 at halftime.
