Question Everything (Except This Podcast!)

What happens when the "safe" path starts feeling like a cage—and how do you escape without destroying everything you've built? Daniel Vassallo walked away from a $500k Amazon job to build a life…
Like at what point did you start, I don't know if disillusioned is the right word, but like what point did you start thinking maybe this isn't, maybe this is not something I want to continue with?
I was basically waking up in the morning, going to work, not particularly motivated.
Again, mostly it was diminishing returns of what I was absorbing, what I was getting.
But professionally, especially as my role, sort of my level grew, it became more bureaucratic, right? I was doing less the hands-on tinkering with computers.
And now I'm sort of dealing with people and with executives and, you know, writing documentation that nobody reads and doing the kind of things that I felt was purposeless.
Even though, again, like if I take the perspective of the company and of the managers and the directors.
And I think I have something, I think we're all different, but probably I have low tolerance than average for doing purposeless things just because they need to be done.
