It’s just me today, sharing an update on my next surgery (I’m still doing well!), and reflecting on something that someone shared with me at a book event a few weeks ago. It got me thinking about how…
And each surgery of this breast cancer journey gets far less intense from what I understand.
So this is the surgery in which my expanders come out and I get implants and and lipo, which still gives me a case of the giggles in every conceivable way.
I have all of the resources that I used, including sort of the pillows, et cetera, up on eliselunan.com. I'll include that in the show notes as well.
But I really, I think the lymphatic massage in particular, ensured that I was lucky I didn't develop any scar tissue.
So in this next stage, I'm expanded, I'm sort of the size, I guess, closely the size that I was before this all happened.
But now I will get the expanders, which again, were put in to stretch out my skin, because I lost a lot of skin in addition to all my tissue.
And And because I don't have, you know, when you get breast reconstruction, typically the implant is going underneath your existing breast tissue.
And dented, I guess, which sounds again, I'll talk about this in a minute, but it hasn't been that bad.
