Hi, and welcome back to another episode of the Prescription for Admission podcast with me, Dr. Nugent, your host.

And this is the podcast where we talk about navigating and guiding your loved ones through a hospital stay or you through a hospital stay.

And the past few quick tips have been really aimed at helping you to understand how to make that transition from the hospital to to hospice at home or hospice at a facility, right? Be it a skilled nursing facility, a long-term care facility, or a hospice house.

So I wanted to stick with that theme and I wanted to talk about death and dying in the hospital.

So this episode and the next episode are going to be focused around that topic.

How do you help to guide and shape the experience of your loved one who is dying in a hospital setting? So I understand that this is a sensitive topic and can be triggering for people to listen to me talk about.

So if you need to take breaks, please take breaks and come back to the episode when you're more comfortable and ready to listen.

Or if this is a topic that you're just not ready to listen to yet, I understand.

So you can take a break here and go back and take a listen to other full episodes where I talk about other topics that are also extremely helpful to help you understand how to guide your loved one and yourself through a hospital stay.

So I'm just going to take a few seconds break here for anybody who needs to move things around and get a little bit more prepared to listen to the episode, or if you want to stop and switch another episode.

Like I said, I understand that this is a very sensitive and sometimes triggering topic.
