This week on Pop Therapy, I unpack the questions still troubling me about Lindsay Clancy, Reddington's moves and intentions for the next imminent court date, and the online debates surrounding this…
So if you listened to my earlier episodes, you know that I am left with serious questions, particularly about the care Lindsay received and the investigation and the full picture of what actually went on there.
But there are a few different things happening now, and one of which is the Reddit account that was supposed to be Patrick's.
So some very clever person found a Reddit account online that actually has now been deleted, interestingly enough.
But it very much looked like it could be attributed to Patrick, including some posts that were describing in explicit details some of Lindsay's symptoms and medication and deterioration in mental health, around the times that she actually was struggling before all of this happened.
There was also a dad fail post about the night that came up in the trial as well, where Patrick had allegedly fallen asleep and they had a brand new baby, beautiful Cora Clancy, who was just a little bub in the cot.
And Lindsay had gone back to work and kept getting notifications on the Nest Cam on her phone that Cora was crying, crying.
So she was very concerned and sent the police for a wellness check because she was at work as a nurse.
And Patrick said he woke up and the police were inside and, you know, he was very embarrassed and he'd missed somehow the crying baby and the monitor.
Now, some of it is also pretty confronting to read with the knowledge of what happened afterwards.
But there's another claim circulating about a divorce lawyer thread that was posted on the day that the children died.
However, the people doing the research pulled it all up and on January 23, there was a post in a thread where someone was actively seeking a divorce lawyer and this so-called Patrick's account allegedly was asking them to spill the deets and wanting the information.
Do they suggest a motive on either Lindsay or Patrick's side? You know, there's just so much more.
If people on the internet have been able to pull these things out, why didn't the investigators? And I think that is why so many of us are so caught up in this case.
But I don't want to get dragged back into the Lindsay hole because it's very hard for me to get out of it.
