If you haven't been here yet in the series, Niall started with a wonderful foundational base for this Kingdom of God series being the fear of the Lord.

And it can kind of seem like, oh, well, what's that? What do you mean? But he did just a wonderful, wonderful job of describing and of articulating and demonstrating what What Scripture means when it talks about the fear of the Lord.

This foundation that we see God as a loving Father, but we see Him with the all and wonder that He is due.

And it's a great foundation because it's a great way of saying when we talk about the kingdom, when we pray about the kingdom, when we see the kingdom experience, that we have to know what kind of king is at the head of this kingdom.

And then we've been reminded or confronted or challenged with just how small the kingdom of God can often be.

How many people did the yeast that did the bread this week? Like, were you confronted by, what have the rest of you done with those peckers? I gave about 50 of them out.

Once you've opened up that packet of yeast and mixed it into the ingredients, it's impossible to see it.

And so Jesus often, in these parables, in these stories of the kingdom, is reminding us, challenging us, because we expect the kingdom to be like fireworks.

Hey! We expect the kingdom to be like a forceful power coming in that everything bows to.

We need to be as confronted and as challenged in those viewpoints as that first century audience did.
