What if I told you that your sex life could reveal more about your heart than you realize? Today, we're talking about one of the most overlooked aspects of sexual health and the foundation of the first pillar of sexual longevity, which is blood flow.

Erections are one of the things that you will notice when there is a lack of blood flow.

However, for women, lubrication and clitoral engorgement are also related to blood flow, as is arousal for men and women, and orgasm all depends on healthy circulation.

Blood flow is not just about performance, it's about tissue health, responsiveness, and longevity.

When you start experience something like erectile dysfunction or its female equivalent, decreased vaginal sensitivity and dryness, these are warning signs that you may start experiencing the beginnings of cardiovascular disease.

It's so important to pay attention to these warning signs because over time, as blockages happen in and around the blood vessels of the genitalia, you will experience more of a lack of function over time as more blockages form.

And the blockages that happen in and around your heart are gonna happen years later possibly than the blockages happening in and around your genitals because the blood vessels around your genitals are much smaller than the ones around your heart.

So this really truly is an early detection sign of heart disease, so pay close attention.

If you're a woman and you're experiencing difficulty orgasming, this could be the result of a decrease in blood flow.

Blood flow is essential for sensitivity, and if you stop having a lot of blood flow to the area and stop getting engorged the way that you need to get engorged before penetrative sex or before sex in general, you are gonna also have a decrease in the lubrication that's coming to the genital area.

So for women, what happens is the blood flows to the area and the plasma of the blood goes through the walls of the vaginal tissue and the surrounding tissue, the vulva and clitoris, et cetera, and it wets your area, your genital area.

But if you don't have enough blood flow, you're also not gonna have enough plasma flowing to the area to wet it, right? And so blood flow is essential for women as well.

And oftentimes people will dismiss- These issues as, oh, well I'm just getting older.

But, and that is true, right? If we talk about the prevalence of erectile dysfunction, it goes up 10% per decade.

So already men in their 20s start to experience some form of erectile dysfunction, up to 20% of men do, right? But in their 30s, 30% of men do.

And the same is true for women, so as you get older, you start to have a decrease in blood flow.

But this is directly related to your cardiovascular health, and so we are gonna be talking about that a little bit more today and how you can help to increase that blood flow, okay? It is so important for men to have regular erections throughout the day and nocturnal erections throughout the night.

You don't have to have an arousal period, they are just your body's way of practicing blood flow to your genitals so that it can maintain its function.
