Playmakers’s Corner Episode 524: Lace Up Jr Summer Showdown and Biocats Combine Reactions

All righty, now let's start with the BioCats Combine here.

So I was able to help out with it, helped with the 40 yard dash station, which isn't that hard.

Uh, basically shout out Kingdom.

They came out and basically ran that for us and, you know, got to see some speed out there, which was great.

And then I got to help with the box drill, the flag pulling drill, which in case you don't know, you basically make a box.

You have lines on the corners here of each box, and then you go one at a time, uh, at each corner.

So it's basically a 1V1.

Players run from one cone to the other around it, and then if you have the ball, you're trying to score.

If you don't have the ball, you're trying to pull their flags.

And so I was able to really get up in there [laughs] and bring the energy.

You know, if you know anything about me, I love defense.

You know, I played linebacker.

I'm all about it.

And you know, I love firing them up, and I was really trying to bring that energy, and you know, we had some groups really respond to it as well.

Uh, I also wanna shout out Coach Holloway of William Woods and Coach Abby Brown of Ottawa.

Obviously Abby is a national champion, multi-time national champion at linebacker, one of the most prolific defensive players that this sport has ever seen on the college level.

And you know, it was awesome being able to kinda bounce off of what they were saying and helping them bring the energy and them helping me bring the energy and, you know, just giving some good feedback to these players.

And so a huge shout-out to them.

They hopped right in.

I felt like they stayed at my station for, for a while, which is a good thing, absolutely, because I felt like we really got to see, you know, the players who were able to bring it and impress.

And you know, there, there are a number of players that did a really good job here, and I'm just gonna list it out.

I have the roster here, and I'm sure I'm gonna miss some players, but I mean, I just wanna make sure I talk about as many or mention as many as I can here, starting with Brooke Sullivan.

I think most people know who she is.

You know, she is probably, I would say she's the number one prospect in this class of 2027 here, or one of them.

Just super versatile, great strong quarterback, um, great safety DB linebacker, right? And you know, I, I knew who she was, and going into this drill, I challenged her, and to her credit, man, she pushed it.
