cool All right, well, let's have a look at this game.
Street Fighter Alpha 2, unsurprisingly, is a sequel to Street Fighter Alpha, a prequel reboot of the Street Fighter series after the 1001 different variations we got of Street Fighter 2.
Street Fighter Alpha 2 smashed its way into the arcades in the spring of 1996 and was ported to the PlayStation, Saturn and SNES later that year, with the Windows port coming in 1997.
Obviously, we are playing the PlayStation version, which here in the UK was known as Street Fighter Alpha 2, but in Japan, Asia, South America and Spain, it was known as Street Fighter Zero 2.
Zero being the name that was given to the Alpha series in those locations.
Why? Yeah, why? I know why.
Yeah, I'm going to say Zero makes perfect sense.
It's a prequel.
Maybe you'll find out later.
Oh,
okay.
Keep your powder dry.
All right.
Like all Street Fighter games, before and after this was developed and published by those geniuses, genii, geniopathies at Capcom, of course.
Don't we all? Honestly,
I think they're up there with Nintendo in terms of one of those companies that have been around forever.
You can pretty much guarantee that their quality is more often than not very high.
They'll have some duffers here and there.
But even when they dip the toe into like Zelda and they did the Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons.
Brilliant.
They're just good.
Konami used to be another one like that, didn't they? But I don't feel like it's still the
same.
Yeah, I don't know what's gone on there.
