So with life insurance, talk to me about the differences between what a pilot needs to be thinking about and what somebody who's not a pilot should be thinking about when they're choosing or selecting the appropriate life insurance for themselves.

You know, I hear so many different things from so many different clients on, hey, what are the things that I should think about? And I think really some of those life moments are just, did you just get married? Are you starting a family or how many kids do you already have and what their needs are? Did you add kids in the last year? Are you paying for private education? What are those kids' needs? What are your wife's needs or your spouse's needs? Do you have a mortgage? Business debt? Kind of want to make sure that all your debts are covered.

That's really important because you don't want to leave behind things that aren't planned for.

And then you don't just want to buy just enough to cover your debt because then you're not leaving anything for your family.

We see that a lot where clients are like, oh, I make X amount and so I'm going to get 1X income.

And it's like, You need to make sure that you have enough to cover properly if something happens to you tomorrow.

With life insurance, that's that one thing that you can always count on that's going to be paid out tax-free.

There's not a whole lot of other tax-free distributions out there, unfortunately.

And so when we think about what a pilot needs to think about versus somebody who's not a pilot, a lot of times life insurance policies will have exclusions for aviation.

Can you talk to us about that? Like what should be on somebody's mind if they are a pilot when it comes to their life insurance with exclusions?

Well, I have this coverage with my employer and they're like, I think it covers me for aviation.

That's a, I need to know item because you need to make sure you're freely covered.

I know with our policies, we have a specific aviation supplement form and we put that in all of our policies.

And with a group policy that someone gets through their employer, maybe their spouse's employer, or even their airline, that always excludes general aviation, corporate flying, really anything outside a regularly scheduled Part 121 airliner.

So if you look at the actual list of policy exclusions in those group policies, it's extensive.
