It's the physician's practice.

It's the insurance companies.

Why? Because physicians who've been sued are much more likely to order more tests and send people to more specialists.

It's called defensive medicine.

Often the cost of healthcare goes up.

So insurance costs go up.

Everyone's premiums go up.

Because I was sued, I eventually burned out in medicine and I left my practice.

So all those people I took care of, lost their doctor.

All those people who worked for me in my practice basically lost a job.

So it was much more than I was just there as leverage for this lawyer in order to sue the nursing home.

There were profound impacts of these acts from the medical malpractice world.

And a lot of times we don't talk about the long ranging economic impacts as well as the emotional devastation, depression, burnout that happened because the system is really kind of rigged against us.

I mean, and it shakes you to your core.

I mean, the very essence of who you are and what you're doing and why you're doing it, you know, to have that kind of thing come at you full force shakes you right to your core.

And I could hear someone listening and say, oh, well, poor you.

Patients are harmed every day by doctors and hospital systems.
