Episode 280: The Great Equalizer - TIME!

I want you to think about something for a second.

Think about the world we navigate every day.

We live in a reality filled with disparities.

People are born into vastly different circumstances.

I can tell you myself where I was born in Kingston, Jamaica as the youngest of five to a single mother with nothing, not a pot to piss and window throw it out of, a vastly different circumstance than when I came to Canada when I was nine years old.

vastly different, and that's what I noticed.

There are differences in wealth, status, physical beauty, geography, privilege, and access.

Some doors open effortlessly, especially for celebrities and athletes and the ultra-rich, while the average person, some, have to fight to even find the knob to open this door of opportunity.

Yet, despite all these imbalances that we just mentioned, nature instituted one absolute uncompromising law across the board.

Here it is.

Everyone, everyone gets the exact same 24 hours in one day.

That's a great equalizer.

Rich, poor, you name it, we get the same 24 hours.

I'm going to let you sit with that for just a second.

Listen.

Just take that in.

Same.

Right now, as you're listening to this, someone else has the same second that just went by.

Across the board.

Across the board.

The billionaire doesn't get an extra 20 minutes because their bank account has 10 figures in it.

They don't.

The elite athlete doesn't.

competitor doesn't get a 26-hour day to log more training sessions.

The celebrity, the CEO, the student, the struggling artist, and the everyday worker all wake up with the exact same currency deposited into their account every single morning.
