Back to the Books! (Eliza Sunshine by Michelle Good)

It's PB&Js with Izzy and Izzy today, and that's okay (Sam's here in spirit)! We're wrapping up our thoughts on The Bilingual Brain, and moving on to our next book...Eliza Sunshine! For Native American Heritage Month, we'll be reading Eliza Sunshine by Michelle Good. We're very excited about this one, so listen in as Izzy reflects on her education (however minimal) about Indigenous peoples and history, and the need for all of us to educate ourselves by listening to and supporting Indigenous voices year-round! For those readers who have an easier time engaging in non-fiction, we've also included a link to some memoirs and non-fiction books by Indigenous authors. So get in there, and let's get reading!
