6/31, 7/4-5/26 Pastor To Pastor Cordova Church Of The Nazarene Ian Stubbs

As you all have been listening along with me, you've been listening to the voice of Pastor Ian Stubbs of Cordova Church of the Nazarene right there in Ridge, Cordova.

It's off Bradshaw Road.

And a couple of things I wanted to highlight from your story that I think that our listeners may resonate with, depending.

And the first one is your Twitch pulpit.

Yeah.

Because here's what's so fascinating to me.

I think that every believer, I believe every believer has a Holy Spirit.

If every believer has a Holy Spirit, then they are in a place to minister on God's behalf, which basically means what's your pulpit? Where are you at? What do you got going on? Because ultimately your congregation was on Twitch and online.

Just because it wasn't in a brick and mortar had nothing to do with it not being a church.

What's a church? A church is a community coming together.

So sure enough, God all of a sudden creates and goes, you're pastoring now.

And I just don't know if everyone... really understands the empowerment of believers, they keep waiting for them to have a professional title in order to be authorized.

And I'm like, hold on a second, I think you're ministering an awful lot right where you're at.

And if literally, now you as a senior pastor, And me, we have this craving of going, what if the body mobilized? What if the whole church rose up and understood who they are and what they're doing? And that in the Lord, he's the one ultimately doing the ministry and transformation.

So again, you're going to go, but I'm not equipped.

And we would all go, that is correct.

Yeah.

But he is.

And so my encouragement to all of you listening is what's your pulpit? It's going to be different.

It's going to be something else.

It could be everything from where you end up always going to the same grocery store.

Everybody knows you.

And they always gather around, hey, how you doing, Mary? What's going on? And you have all these relationship dynamics.

That's your pulpit.

And you just minister to those people, love on those people, pray for those people, say, how can I help you guys? Is there anything I can do for you? Anyway, I just think your story is so amazing and inspirational to the rest of us that are out there.
