Well, if you haven't been coming on a regular basis, you might wonder where we are and what we're doing.
In other words, the years that David spent on the run trying to evade being captured and killed by Saul.
Now, the events that occurred during his years as a fugitive are recorded in the book of 1 Samuel chapters 20 to 31, and they're recorded in chronological order.
And because of that, I listed all of these events on a slide three weeks ago, and I projected them on the back wall where you could see them.
Now as I've said, we don't have time to go through each one of these events in detail or in depth.
So what I'm doing is I'm skimming over and stopping from time to time to point out what I consider to be very important details or to make some type of application.
Now we've already covered the first six events on the list, so this morning we're going to start with the seventh event on the list.
But before we do that, let me briefly review what we covered last week so you can see how the story flows.
You know, we've been cutting and chopping up this story, but the reason we've been doing that is because I can't cover it all in one sermon.
And from man's perspective, that would have been the safest thing to do and the wisest decision.
