God bless you for being in the house of the Lord

on this Wednesday night, and I love our Wednesday night sessions, and it's a little different than Sundays.

But we try to slow down at least a little bit and get into the word of the Lord.

And we have talked about healthy homes this summer series.

And I'm so thankful that we do have great homes.

We do have great families here at PPC.

But we understand that all great things and all healthy things are built upon the word of God.

Amen.

Without the word of God, without that rock as our foundation, everything is shifting sand.

And I'm thankful that you've anchored your not only your personal life, but your family to the rock.

And I just want to encourage you because winds of doctrine are going to blow.

Divisions are going to happen.

Things are going to come your way that may cause you to question doubt.

I was listening to something even today of a great man that he said, man, when you're going through it, it's amazing you can start.

He was even questioning whether the gospel was really what he was preaching of the gospel was really it because he was seeing no results.

And we can get to some places where the enemy can start sowing doubt and fear.

I want to encourage you to be faithful all the way to the end.

Amen.

Sometimes you just got to make up your mind.

I'm going to make it.

Amen.

I'm going to go all the way with the Lord.

Amen.

And so we talked last Wednesday.

We kicked off a message, actually.

Wasn't even sure exactly how the Lord made direct in way of a series.

But we talked about the life of a witness.

And we talked about Jesus inviting some fishermen to be fishers of men.

And we looked at the life of Paul who was called and had a great conversion experience and was called to testify of the goodness of the Lord.

And to be a witness of what he had seen and what God was going to show him in the future.

And what an incredible witness Paul was.

What an example of a believer, of a Christian, and one who had souls on his mind and was trying to bring increase to the kingdom, and so we talked about how the early church were great witnesses.

They went out, and the Bible even says that they turned their world upside down, if you will, and they filled Jerusalem with their doctrine, and many people, and even a great number of priests were turned to the faith.

Many people were added to the church, and disciples were multiplied, and And we see how the symbol of God's harvest was a net that was completely full of fish, ready to break.

They needed partners to help them.

Amen.

This is bigger than us.

Amen.

The kingdom of God is expanding.

It is the will of God for kingdom growth to happen.

And he wants to use every single one of us.

And he wants to bring about a quick work.

And I believe that.

In Jesus' name.

So I'm going to continue lesson two of a life of a witness.
