Now, the NLDS roster, the exact same roster as the wildcard series, which I will admit I was kind of surprised that Austin Hayes made it.
This one got announced and then Walker Buehler got put on the paternity list.
Interesting little bit of, I don't want to make a bigger conspiracy out of this and be like, "Oh, Craig Stammen told Walker Buehler to induce labor and yada, yada, yada." But the paternity list allows for Randy Vasquez has been put on the roster in Walker Buehler's spot.
And then Walker Buehler can now be reactivated at any point during the series.
Now, not that Randy Vasquez, for as much as any and all of us love Randy Vasquez, he's not going to necessarily be like a high leverage innings kind of guy.
But if game one goes south and we're losing, might not surprise me if they take advantage of having Randy on the roster to get out there and eat some innings.
And I think it's very likely then that it seems like Michael King will pitch game two and Nick Pavetta game three.
So then Walker Buehler lines up potentially for game four, it would seem, on a ton of rest other than, I guess, the sleepless nights that come with being a new parent.
I don't have any complaints, questions, comments, concerns on any of this.
What do we do against Miz? Miz is actually a little bit better against left-handed hitters than right-handed hitters.
But I would also be curious if the way that we saw Craig Stammen in the two games against the Cubs be aggressive in terms of substitutions and not just like, oh, sitting with my guy.
Like, I would be curious if later in games we don't get some Freddie Fermin appearances as he comes in to be a, you know, a run, a base controlling run stopper.
And I think that the more we get of him, the absolutely better for the Padres this postseason.
This one, little bit of more of the question about what we're going to be doing with the DH rather than any, like I said, same roster more or less.
