sat me down in his office and he said, how would you like to work on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone? Hmm.

This week, it's just me writing solo, talking about one of the big ones, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

I had started my career as a trailer editor and went on to work as head of marketing at Castle Rock Entertainment.

And I moved over to Warner Brothers where I was a creative advertising executive.

And I was obviously very fortunate to receive the creative advertising campaign assignment for what would hope to be a series of Harry Potter films, but at the time was just one.

So my duties at Warner Brothers as senior vice president of creative advertising, in this case, was to work with the filmmakers and work with my ad agencies to come up with posters and trailers and teasers and billboards and digital ads and all kinds of marketing materials for this first Harry Potter film, The Sorcerer's Stone.

the expectations from the book and therefore the expectations in the film adaptations were absolutely enormous.

And in this case, for me certainly, and for all those involved in the first Harry Potter film was, There is no franchise unless the first film is a hit.

And so that's where Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, that's where the challenge was for us.
