Yeah, you're like the guy in Home Alone.

The Home Alone guy.

And they made up the whole story about him murdering his wife, I think.

Yeah.

But everything seemed so much less locked down, rigid.

Like, you know, like, you can watch it in movies like Home Alone or A Christmas Vacation.

Like, so much more of society seems geared towards actually the children, right? And geared towards generational families engaging with each other than some type of nihilistic dental office plastic world that we live in.

Where there's like one Chick-fil-A in Tampa that has a play place and it's like the sanitized single slide, this little plastic slide.

It was a big sale.

And Chris Columbus, with 1492 Productions, a guy that did Home Alone and Mrs. Doubtfire, that stuff, he actually bought the script.

It was going to be kind of one of his rare dramatic kind of entries.

That sale got us into it, but then we kind of ran into a lot of, you know, after that, you know, when we would try to write other things about slavery or anything with kind of Black history kind of stuff, you know, you'd always get this, well, you know, Amistad didn't do well, you know, Beloved didn't do well.

But we don't need a movie about it.

There was a story where Craven booby trapped all of New York Home Alone style.

I love that one.

I genuinely think, is the greatest display of New York in any movie ever.

And the Craven thing sounds more like Poe die over the vengeance than it does Home Alone, in my personal opinion.

Anything would have been an improvement from the Craven we got.

I don't think so.

um but is there any other like kind of standout moments in in this movie that either maybe you had a little bit of nostalgia like me too or you just like realized at this time like oh this is this is pretty badass was there anything like that for you

It's a face.

It's like the guy on Home Alone.

Yeah, you don't get good news.

Sometimes you do.

I, I 100% agree with that, that, uh, cellphones and communication, easy communication I should say, really did take away, not just from, like, the horror genre, but for anything.

Movies, like Home Alone could've easily been done with, "Hey, you guys left me here," and then end of story.

Like, they come back and be like, "Oh, we're on our way back," [laughs] and then they go back, and there you go.

Um, sitcoms that have to do with, with, uh, somebody getting stranded somewhere or anything like that can easily be remedied by, well, somebody just call them, and then there you go.
