Early impressions of Grantball, players who've caught our eye, the second coming of Elvis, booing players, strange pizza toppings and much, much more!
It's definitely drawn a line in the sand on Sadler Ball, for sure.
Before I start getting too deep into it, I think it's worth noting we're in questionably a work in progress.
We haven't seen everything yet.
I think there's lots of learning on the pitch, in the dugout and in the terraces and stands.
But we're beginning to see what Gran Ball looks like and we're beginning to develop it.
a collective identity, which I think I like.
As I said, it's effectively closed the door on Sadler Ball.
It's virtually the opposite, as everyone can see.
We've joked before, or I've joked before, about how much I dislike possession for the sake of possession.
And we've kind of prodded at Chesterfield and Notts County in the past, trying to kind of be Barcelona-lite.
But we're not that.
We do have possession, but there's a threat that comes with it, albeit with the games where we haven't scored.
We can mix it.
You mentioned crew when we went long.
There's a number of times where they try to suck teams in and then go over the top.
I think it's just a refreshing start.
A really, really refreshing start.
really weird, first off, from the last few years.
It's very strange.
It's something to get your head round.
It'll take, I think...
