So there's been a lot of ink spilled on the rise of these insurgent candidates in the Democratic Party.
I'd love for each of you, what, what is the lens through which you're viewing this divide? Is it moderate versus centrist, insider versus outsider, young versus old? Why don't we start with you, Adam, then Amanda, then Roshni?
I mean, there's definitely an ideological component to it, right? You can't avoid that.
I mean, the platforms that a lot of these insurgent candidates are running on are very clear.
They often have a lot in common, things like Medicare for all, uh, you know, the war in Gaza is a huge issue driving a lot of this.
You know, if, if you were doing all those positions but you didn't have the outsider versus insider dynamic, they wouldn't be getting the traction they're getting.
But they're also, a lot of the passion behind them, what's driving the movement, does have these strong ideological components to it as well.
So Run for Something, the organization I run, had nearly 100,000 people sign up to run for office in the last 18 months.
And the thing that we heard this time around that was different than Trump 1.0 was very specific frustration with the Democratic Party, with the sense that, like, "My leaders are not fighting for me.
