And increasingly, it's becoming part of the conversation around conservation and sustainable use of marine resources.
Today's guest brings a unique perspective, sitting right at the intersection of fishing and science.
He's a passionate fisher, creates fishing content online, works with Wreckfish SA and has just completed honours research in our lab looking at the life history of Mulloway.
We're joined by Tom Taizenko who spends a lot of time out on the water but also in the lab helping us better understand one of South Australia's most iconic fish species.
