Who’s having breakout summer pro results? (Men)

So the number one player we have is Yassine Jellali.

He is a UCF recent graduate from Morocco, finished number 66 in the ITA rankings.

And it was a little bit of an up-and-down year for him.

He finished the year 14-9, although he ended certainly on a high.

He clinched UCF's second round NCAA win over Florida in a third set tie break that happened indoors at the USTA National Campus there, and then he went on to beat DK Suresh in straight sets at their super regional.

So Kev, he has really taken that momentum and translated off onto the ITF Pro Tour, hasn't he?

Exactly, because he, he did not have his best season.

I think his junior season was his best.

But yeah, now he's turning pro.

He played his first ITF in May, in the last week of May, at Monastir in Tunisia.

He only lost one set.

Really no big players he beat, but, uh, there is, uh, Yosh Kasborovsky, a Alabama player.

So yeah, he wins the title.

Second week he also plays at Monastir, just the day after he won the title.

He also won the...

He also wins the title, beating Hugo Coquelin from, uh, Vanderbilt.

Aziz Dougas, really great win.

He also beat Alberto Barros Ocampos, former USF player, and he wins the final against Jacob Bratcher, a great win, too.

So yeah, this one was really impressive.

Then he rested a bit for one week or two and decided to play in Morocco in Tangier last week, and he won the title, beating, uh, Miguel Angel Machado, future, uh, Texas Tech player.

Florian Broska, a really good player.

I think he was, uh, seeded number one in this tournament.

And in the final, he beat Karim Benani, a really good up-and-coming Moroccan player.

So yeah, 15 wins in a row, three titles.

Nothing you could expect best to start your career.
