The Vibes Are Back

As we are recording, we are in the midst of deadline day.

I've just been visited by the ghost of deadline day past.

I'm about to go through the usual stuff.

I mean, this feels quite stress-free.

We never do a lot on the actual day, but we've done more than normal.

Yeah, no, it's exciting.

I mean, if you'd have told me that we would have Willick having started our last game in the Premier League, we'd be behind Hull in the table.

We'd be turning down £15 million bids for Jacob Murphy in the last year of his contract and that I would be in a better mood about Newcastle than I have been in, I would say, at least a year.

I think that is surprising, I'd say.

So we should talk about the transfer window as it draws to a close.

We've signed even more players since we last recorded a podcast.

They've all gone relatively well.

What was nice is we seemed fairly under the cosh first half and we did this new thing we're trying of changing things during the game based on what we're coming up against.
