So what I thought I would do for this episode... is to look at parenting through a neurodivergent lens, right? Because obviously, parenting is fucking hard, just in general, right? Parenting neurodivergent kids is obviously harder, but parenting neurodivergent kids as a neurodivergent is like end of level boss hard, I'm sure.

So I want to pull apart some of the particular neurodivergent traits that make it more difficult for you as a, you know, for all parents.

But I'm gonna go trait by trait, okay? Because I think one of the biggest ones, probably for a lot of parents of neurodivergent kids, is sensory sensitivity.

are not for the neurodivergent community, right? But our households are the most chaotic and the most noisy households.

If you've ever had a stray neurotypical family wander into your home and then you see the shell shock as they're shepherded out of the door again, right? It's not for the faint-hearted.

Why are they triggering me so much? But like you said, it's the noise and everything.

And the thing is, I think before you have kids, you're in your own, you can hide away.

And it's like you said, the noise and their own meltdowns and things like that is very triggering.
