So first and foremost, what is Barely Curious? Well, Barely Curious came from this really recent beautiful experience I had where I took my van to a nudist camp and so much happened within that 10 days that it completely and utterly changed me.

I've done trainings that lasted a week or so in person and then like online for a year.

This, however, just felt like a really visceral, different, inward experience where I wasn't having to engage with anybody, particularly outside of my family.

It felt like we were all in it together and it just felt like it wasn't this whole... like vipassana or educational course where I would at the end of it then put something into practice for work purposes it just felt really deeply personal but at the same time something that I really felt like I need to share and I was just sitting by the river in this camp being like shown that this work has to happen in the spaces that i already share so i want to talk about nudism which is a word that is used interchangeably with naturism so nudism specifically speaks to being nude and that practice of How many people practice nudism is still a very much loose number because essentially how do you know how many people are nude within their own homes versus like just taking their toppers off at the beach.

Naturism is a term that has been coined over the years to speak to working and the practice of being nude within nature and working with nature as a practice.

So originally it was actually started in the 1920s as this like wellness hype on getting people out into more vitamin D and out into nature.

And I recently decided to, after this experience, to really engage with my understanding of the history of naturism.

Because I feel that there's a lot of history there that links heavily with the work that I really do for feminine health.

I think it takes somebody who's prepared to speak about it in a way that perhaps it isn't spoken about in today's society.

i would say prude and it's getting worse not better which i want to talk about and why i'm fascinated by this topic so i want to talk about natures of nudism and then gymnosophy gymnosophy is this kind of feminist word i would say but i don't really like using that term feminism without it having some more backbone discussion to it Because it's become more challenging to understand what feminism is and the ways we use feminism in today's society.

But it's a feminist term, really, which is this practice of understanding our bodies, being nude, being in the feminine nature of life.

and really understanding gymnosophy through the lens of it's an act of reclamation of self.

It's certainly not a term that I would have heard of before I started doing more research.

I was like, what is that? What is that, gymnosophy? I instantly went on this journey into more about what it is.

So I'll share more about gymnosophy as we unfurl into this podcast and into the videos that I'll create on the work that I'm going to be doing around nudity and nudism and naturism and genosophy so bear is this like you know word for being naked but barely I just really love that term like barely because it's like are we bare or are we barely bare I'd also like barely curious like the curiosity is where I think people are are going with it so I shared a video on a show not a video actually I shared a podcast with Namestia with Ali and we did it about this experience of going to the campsite so you can find that on our Namestia alternative living podcast and that then was shared directly onto YouTube so I don't automatically share I create a video and I upload it separately and And that hit, currently hitting 12,000 views and had some engagement on YouTube, which I am fascinated about because I've been sharing on Namestia, I shared like we sold everything to live in a van, so on and so forth.
