One of the weirdest things I had to do for the show was condoms.

And it was, "What's a condom in 1897?"

Wow.

Did a detective from Toronto invent half of modern technology by accident? Lie detectors, electric guns, mechanical nonsense that looks like it could either solve a murder or get you arrested immediately.

And none of that happens without the person that actually builds the stuff.

I built the bullet.

So [laughs] the first version of the lie detector, the, the tube of liquid that went up and down, which was me lying on the floor under a desk with a big syringe, just pushing the syringe.

So there was the odd time where Yanic's sitting there like, "Blow it more, blow it more."

"I'm trying."

[laughs]

"There's a kink in the hose."

Really makes me wonder how often we've enjoyed a scene where you're just under a table somewhere in the shot.

A lot.
