House on Haunted Hill: Cast and Context8:45 – 15:24

Zach MellonHost

8:45

So we are covering the 1999 House on Haunted Hill.

Zach MellonHost

8:51

And it was released October 29th, 1999, which was a Friday.

Zach MellonHost

8:56

Wow.

Zach MellonHost

8:58

So the Friday of Halloween, this came out, which I think is brilliant because it's not even a good movie, but everyone probably went to go see it.

Zach MellonHost

9:06

I

Sloane SteeleHost

9:07

highly disagree with you.

Sloane SteeleHost

9:09

I think this is a fantastic film.

Sloane SteeleHost

9:10

Well, you know what I mean.

Sloane SteeleHost

9:13

Yeah, it's really, really...

Sloane SteeleHost

9:14

It's actually one of the worst movies ever, but

Zach MellonHost

9:17

also somehow very good.

Zach MellonHost

9:19

I mean, you need to watch it, but the director was William Malone, who did nothing else.

Zach MellonHost

9:26

Except something called Fear.com from 2002.

Zach MellonHost

9:28

Mm-hmm.

Zach MellonHost

9:33

You've seen that.

Zach MellonHost

9:33

I've

Sloane SteeleHost

9:33

seen that.

Sloane SteeleHost

9:35

Okay.

Zach MellonHost

9:37

It's not good.

Zach MellonHost

9:38

The budget was $19 million and it grossed $65 million.

Zach MellonHost

9:43

So it did the thing, mommy.

Sloane SteeleHost

9:45

The budget seems low for like how much set design there was.

Sloane SteeleHost

9:50

It looked

Zach MellonHost

9:51

crazy.

Zach MellonHost

9:52

So I'm going to be honest with you.
