Joker

Uh, he's friends with everybody who we know as his villains, Killer Croc, Riddler, Penguin, and Two-Face.

Uh, not the Joker.

The Joker's a guy who is just being brought into the story at the end of issue one.

We don't know a lot about him.

That's, that's what I got.

Yeah, we see one hand of poker get played, and Bruce wins it.

Um, and we don't see any other hands.

They reference the Joker, like the Joker from the deck, which obviously holds heavier meaning for us readers, but not for these characters, since the Joker does not necessarily exist in their world as of yet.

It's literally

like the Batman and Joker thing where it's like, they don't actually want to solve anything.

They complete each other.

The minute that the other one does not exist, they're fucked.

Yeah.

And he makes his face look all like the Joker.

Like, that's crazy.

Elasticity.

It's off the heel of his glove as he's fully turned around towards the plate off the heel of his glove.

And I could just see Pete Alonso cackling like the Joker, I bet.

Not that I saw it, but I bet he was doing it.

Like that gif of Jack Nicholson from Batman where he goes, ah, ha, ha, ha.

I think that

might be the Joker.

Was it Bane? I don't know.

Or is it a different movie?

And then the GIF that I used was a movie reference, and it was The Dark Knight.

And it was when the Joker goes like, six.

When he's being interrogated and asks how many of his cop buddies that he killed.

He's like, six.

And like, also like cartoon nerds, he means a lot to them because he's has a ton of voice acting.

Like, you know, like even back in the nineties, he was originally going to be the voice of the Joker before Mark Hamill took over, but he's done tons of iconic characters.

And even that's something he continued to do like well into his older age, because, you know, as his health got worse, he had a stroke and everything.

That was still something he could do.

Or else neither could exist.

It's like Batman and the Joker.

I, I like this story a lot.

I'm a sucker for alternate realities, and especially alternate realities that do interesting things, like the whole idea of Thomas as Batman, and spoilers, Martha Wayne as the Joker.

Um, and they also use this story to propel Cyborg to a more prominent role, 'cause in this, uh, version of reality, he is the, the biggest superhero in the world, and then that led him to being a member of the Justice League.

Uh, but I have good memories of Flashpoint.

I've read exactly t- three of these, the tie-in minis.

I read the Wonder Woman/Aquaman ones, uh, 'cause I bought them on Comixology, and I said, "Yes, let them be bad." And they were fine.

[laughs] And I read the Batman one, which is unfortunate 'cause the whole Thomas Wayne being Batman and Martha Wayne being the Joker is one of the most interesting aspects of this universe, and never once in this main book is it explicitly said that Martha is the Joker, and I feel like that's-
