Somewhere right now, a business owner is working twice as hard for half the profit, with a website that's quietly working for someone else. Odds are they have no idea. In this episode, Tim sits down…
For me, I remember the same transformation during the 90s, and that was kind of real.
Probably the first change in how we kind of did stuff in the office environment for such a long time.
But for me, it was seeing people take the yellow pages back when it was actually a pretty substantial book and they'd put it under the CRT monitor.
And that stage was people taking the yellow pages off the shelf and sticking it under the monitor.
And then typing on the screen to get the information I want rather than sort of flipping through the pages.
And it was basically just the width of a thin paperback, but lots of spaces for notes in it.
I'm not sure how much longer it's got because again, what do they do with this book that they used to get? And now we're seeing that revolution happening again.
We saw it firstly with the internet and then with the development of social media through the noughties and teens and still very important today.
