I'll tell you how I'm doing.
Not well, bitch.
Who gonna check me, boo? [upbeat music]
Welcome to Morally Corrupt.
She is Callie Curry.
We've got a lot to cover.
We've got the premiere of O.C. We've got The Valley and In The City, and a new segment we're gonna call The Comment Section, 'cause our comment section has been popping.
All right, let's start with O.C. O.C. is back, 20 years.
As Callie said off mic, they are leaning [laughs] heavily into the 20 years.
I enjoyed it.
Now, I feel like I was distracted during this episode, so you'll have to help me with this, but when they were playing it, did they only play the recap of the ladies we currently have or did they give us the other ones, too? I don't know why I felt like I wasn't seeing the, some of the older...
Some of the most memorable scenes weren't there.
I mean, it was a very, very, very quick recap, but I thought they were leaning into it by having Shannon go visit Vicki, and then they went to the bar, and they showed, like, a little bit of the Tres Amigas trips.
Like, it was...
I, I, it felt like they were going back and showing the Alamo.
Like-
[laughs]
I don't, I don't need-
I'm gonna-
I don't need this history lesson.
They stood on a bar and danced.
I, l- we have, I have missed Vicki Gunvalson.
So for me-
Missed?
... a trip down-
I mean-
Yes.
First off, O.C. has not been fantastic, and to have Vicki back, and to see where she is-
Wasn't it really good two year, two seasons ago? Like, not last season, but the season before, I thought it was really good.
People get onto me when I say this, but I have not enjoyed seasons with Katie, and that would be the last two.
So you'd have to at least go back three, and I don't recall that being great either.
We didn't have Tamra.
There was one season we covered where we both liked it, 'cause I had stopped watching for a while, and then came back.
Maybe it was when Tamra first came back.
Oh, you know what? It was Tamra's first season back.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was Tamra's first season back.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So that's, that would be the last two, we had Katie, so then the th- three.
That's too long.
Yeah.
My point is, we gotta have Vicki or Tamra.
I, I don't think that it wasn't good because of Vicki.
I have missed Vicki, and before Tamra came, it was bad again, and that's when we didn't have either one of them.
So i- anyways, I have missed Vicki.
People know I'm a fan of Vicki.
I just think that she brings something so different to the show that I...
And maybe I'm just b- I mean, I'm clearly biased, but even her and Shannon on the beach, catching up with Vicki, seeing the new man in her life, you know, finding out, seeing her brother.
So I feel like we know so much of her family.
Seeing where her son is, you know? Like, she's like, "He's gonna be like my brother." It's just, I don't know, there was just something about it, them falling down laughing, tripping on each other, just, like, simple...
Like, did you not laugh when she and Shannon fell on each other in the sand? I don't know.
They're just, they're, like, goofy.
They're-
They're definitely goofy.
Yeah.
I don't know.
It's just something I love to see on-
Also in this episode, Shannon got in a bounce house and was trying to bounce around.
Um, I, I didn't even know what to make of that.
Um, I was ki- no, I didn't laugh.
I laughed.
I was like, "Oh, I've missed this." I like to hear her up- just, I like where she's building and buying a house.
I like that her love tank is full.
I, like, even her-
Well, yeah, her love tank is full
... saying she's gonna start working out, and she popped her knee, and now she's walking with this br- Like, like, I'm like, "Ah."
[laughs]
Just, it's just like-
Uh, okay, sure
... it's, like, the randomness
Maybe I laughed a little at that.
I was just kind of like, "Let's get into this season." Like, it felt like they wanted to do a whole 20-year memory lane thing and then start the season, which was the last, like, 10 minutes of the episode at Heather's party.
That's when it felt like the season was starting.
Well, yes.
We know, we know.
I don't know why it feels like O.C. hasn't been on in forever, but we know a first episode is gonna give us the catch-up and see where everybody is.
And for some reason, I was like, "Who's on O.C. again?" I don't...
It's the, it's the same women pretty much except for Katie, but I don't know why.
There's two new women, right? Or one new woman.
Well, there's a new, there's a new woman that comes at the end.
Carme- well, there's Vicki and Carmella.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And, and Katie's gone, but I was like, "Where are these women in their lives, and what the hell happened last season?" Like, I totally forgot the last season ended where they picked the cameras back up to say that Tamra was the leak to the blog.
Like, I forgot, and I think I purposely put that out of our memory because all we...
Like, Kiki Monique was a, was holding an orange.
Like, the blogging became such a storyline that it was an insufferable season to me, and I don't like when we can't get down to the bottom of things.
It's like he's, she said she said.
Is Katie telling the truth? D- is Kiki Monique telling the truth? Is Tamra tell...
It was just a disaster.
So I really...
You know I'm good at compartmentalizing.
Well, also there's been stuff that has happened since-
Yes
... that also changed dynamics, because, like, they keep referring to the dinner that happened on the-
tripYeah.
Which was a great promo, by the way.
That's a good promo-
Yeah
... for the trip.
'Cause we don't really know what happened, but we know something went down-
Yeah
... and that Tamra and, uh, and Shannon went at it.
But, like, we never saw that.
So I feel like dynamics have shifted, and we didn't even see the shift.
So it was a little confusing-
Right
...
in the beginning to remember who's getting along with who and why people don't like Tamra.
And usually the beginning of the season they address, like, where everyone's at, and it was kind of hard to follow because we're missing a big chunk of something that happened.
But it seems like everyone is mostly good except for Tamra with everyone.
Who is Tamra mad at? Like, that's what I don't like is that I can't keep up.
Tamra and Shannon are not doing well because of the dinner with Ultimate Girls Trip.
Okay.
That's right, that's right, that's right.
Um, where Tamra told her that she doesn't have a man, she doesn't own a home, and there was a third thing.
Three things.
And then even, even Heather was like, some of the other housewives were like, "Oh, we don't go that deep." Which I was just like, "Really?"
Yeah, that was a weird moment.
Like-
She was like-
Yeah
...
they felt uncomfortable.
I'm like, n- name them.
Yeah.
[laughs]
Because if that made you uncomfortable, you don't need to be here.
I was like, the-
And maybe she's referring to the ones who-
... other franchises go way worse
... and maybe she's referring to-
Way deeper
... housewives that are no longer a part of it, so they're-
Oh, maybe.
Yeah
... you know? So they're probably like, "Well, well, I'm so far removed from this, I forget that this is, like, an actual thing." But it was so funny to hear her be like, "Well, the other ladies were not."
Yeah.
I was like, who?
Uh, there's something off to me about Heather.
I don't...
I can't put my finger on it, and I don't dislike Heather.
You say this every season.
I don't dislike her either.
I was happy when Heather came back.
But there is something [smacks lips] that just...
I don't know what it is.
And maybe Jen put, like kinda touched on it a little bit.
You say one thing to us, but then it's like she can't fully stand up to Tamra.
She can't fully tell Tamra how she feels.
Like she's...
I don't know if it's like a keep your enemies closer or she so desperately wants to be in the Tres Amigas, 'cause she's not.
She's Tres Amigas adjacent.
She- they're not, she's not quite in there.
You know? She's not quite...
That's, maybe that's what it is with Heather.
She's not quite there.
She's not quite funny.
She's not quite on the in crowd.
[laughs]
She's not qui- You know what I mean? Like she, and she, and she wants to so badly.
Yeah.
She clearly wants to be a housewife.
But then pretends like she doesn't want to be.
Like, pretends that she's above it.
No, I think it's that she wants to be a housewife very badly.
Like, she wants to be a Kyle Richard-esque housewife.
Yeah.
Like, she's been on the show a very long time, but doesn't get the respect of a housewife that has been on the show a very long time.
And I think part of it is that she kind of plays up this, like, I'm better than you and, like, I don't really need this type of attitude while also really wanting it.
Yeah.
And we see it.
Yeah.
It's like you're not playing it well enough where we're like, oh yeah, she's above it.
We're like, no, you really want, you really want this.
What'd you think about her mother? We've seen her before.
Yeah, that-
That mother is tough.
That mother is tough.
Tough.
Honestly, it explains a little bit about Heather.
Mm-hmm.
And, uh, for someone who seems to have a lot going on and a lot of help and whatever, she does seem very dialed in with her children.
Very much so.
And seems to have very good re- very good relationships with her children, and is super supportive of her children.
Um, so meeting her mom or, I guess, like, maybe I don't remember having this much face time with her mom.
Um, but it reminded me-
I do
... of...
Whose mom is Muffy? Miffy? Muffy?
Is-
Oh, is it Sutton's mom?
Muzzy.
No, it's Braunwyn's mom.
It's Muzzy.
It's Muzzy.
Muzzy.
Muzzy.
It's Muzzy.
Muzzy.
And it is Braunwyn's mom.
You're right.
But Sutton's mom's another one.
They got some tough mamas.
They got, they got some.
[laughs]
[laughs]
There are...
That's the Housewives show we need.
[laughs]
Give us-
The mamas
... what is, what is-
Muzzy?
It's Muzzy.
It's Muzzy for sure.
But give us Muzzy, give us-
What's Sutton's mom's name?
...
Deandra's, Deandra's mom.
Give us, um, what is our girl from New York's name?
Who?
Who was the Southern socialite.
What?
And she moved to New York.
Come o- Tinsley.
Tinsley's mom.
Give us Muzzy's-
Oh.
Give us Muzzy.
Give us Deandra's mom.
Give us Tinsley's mom.
Give us-
Sutton's mom
...
Heather's mom.
Give us Sutton's mom.
That is a fucking show.
You want entertainment?
That is a show.
Give us those moms.
It would be so good.
So good.
You're right.
We some others on here.
Tough mamas, including Heather's mama, who does not regret spending no time with her grandchildren and is happy that Adam Sandler came.
No.
That is gonna be my new saying for everything.
If I want to disengage from a conversation.
[laughs]
If I don't wanna talk about anything, I'm gonna start saying, "Well, Adam Sandler."
Yeah.
And then somebody will say, "Well, Adam Sandler what?" Well, he brought his camper.
Yeah.
I was like-
To the Hampton
... what is she talking about? [laughs]
Like, I laughed-
And Heather was like, "Okay, mom"
...
but I was like, wait, is she okay? Is this...
Like, she's in her 80s.
Like, is, is she having a-
I thought she was trying to say-
... is she sunning, having an episode? Like, I did not know.
I stopped laughing because I thought this could actually be a serious thing.
I felt that about Vicki throughout the episode as, as well Um, she, V- Vicki has aged since we've last seen her, which by the way, not looks-wise.
I think she looks the exact same actually.
Mm-hmm.
But you can just tell that she's g- like, she's got a wrap around her leg.
Her kneecap has exploded.
She couldn't hear what Shannon was saying when she was like, "What did Shannon say?"
She's not looking.
And, uh, Vicki responded, "Why does she like sushi?" And Shannon was like, "What?" [laughs]
Come on, Kelly.
This is funny.
[laughs]
This is funny.
[laughs] This is where it's, like, the kookiness-
Yes
... that makes Housewives so-
Shannon and-
Vicki is kooky
...
Vicki have kookiness.
Shannon is kooky.
Yes.
Yes.
Agree.
They are Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
They are f- they are a ver- they are the white fricking frack.
Like, there is-
Yeah
...
the two of them together, like, Shannon by herself is annoying.
The screeching, the screaming, the, like, "I'm fine.
Look at me."
[laughs]
You know, like, when she, when she [laughs] like on the sh-
Wait.
Y'all clip all of my impersonations.
I need that impersonation to be clipped.
Okay? I need Rachel's-
Did I not nail it, though?
... impersonation to be clipped.
Yes.
Shannon kookiness by herself, um, does not hit the same as when she has a partner.
N- no, no, no.
A Vicki.
Because it, it's, it's-
A Vicki
... it's, yeah, like, they, they just bring something out of each other that I enjoy watching.
It's like if, if Sonja and Luann can get a show, so could Vicki and Shannon.
And it could be at Andale's.
It could be them in Puerto Vallarta.
I just, I do, I just enjoy them.
They're so, there's, there's, they're so good together.
But I'll get off of it.
I know you guys are-
Did you think it was a little-
... are sick of me talking about it
... um, interesting when Vicki was like, "I saw you was at, you were at a massage parlor at 1:30 in the morning."
Wait, who? Wait.
Did I miss this part? Who was she talking to?
Her new boyfriend.
Her b- oh.
[laughs] No.
But I need more.
I was like, we're just gonna keep on moving past that.
You know what? Vicki might s- as Vicki said, I want a partner in life.
So maybe there's, maybe she just takes-
She said-
...
some liberty-
Yeah
... there's some liberties in the relationship that she's like, you know what? Maybe they're open.
Maybe like-
Mm
... i- i- go, go d- go get what you need.
Just come back here.
I, who knows? But did not catch that.
Will watch the entire episode again for missing that.
The entire thing.
She didn't seem too bothered by it.
[laughs] I'm telling you, Vicki's a, Vicki seems at peace.
I feel like, 'cause you know what I also? I always felt sad for Vicki.
Well, she said sepsis went to her brain.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
Uh, I mean-
I, I'm glad she's okay
... she's lucky she's alive.
Yeah.
No, seriously.
They must have caught it very early.
Didn't she say she had, like, a really low percentage, yeah, I, of, of, like, life expectancy because of that? Or in that s- at the time when that situation happened? Yeah.
I, I'm, I'm, what I like about Vicki too in this moment is I always felt sorry for her because I felt like she, there was an insecurity, and I think a lot of it was brought on by the men she was with, AKA Brooks, of her looks, and people online were mean to her and calling her certain names.
And one of the house husbands did as well.
And so it just seems like she is very comfortable in her own skin, and is about doing what makes her happy.
And that might be her boyfriend going to 1:30 massages.
I vaguely remember her saying something about a happy ending.
I-
Mm-hmm.
She did
... like, that might be, you know, like, she's like, I'm, I'm trying to work out and do this a natural way.
Popped her knee.
All right.
Well, who cares? Here we are.
Like, I don't know.
There was, like, a piece about her that I enjoyed.
It's also episode one.
I know that is gonna go away real fast.
Real fast.
Well, yeah, it does seem in the previews that it does go away.
But I do think, in general, she's gonna be more calm than what we've seen in the past.
Yeah.
And she's pissed she got fired, so.
Yeah.
And I love that she says, "I got fired." No pause.
No, I stepped away.
She's like, "No, I wanted to be here, and they, they pushed me out." [laughs]
Yeah.
So I think that she's also gonna do what she needs to do to stay.
Um, what else happens?
There's a little disagreement with her and Heather about, um, the inheritance.
Heather screams at her.
And Vicki, well, it was, Vicki was kind of like, "Who cares? I don't care.
You get your money." And Heather was like, "How could we have inherited everything if both of our mothers are alive still? And if we were to inherit something, like, obviously one of them would have to be dead, 'cause everything would go to them right now." And Vicki was like, "Terry's brother." And again, Heather was like, "His mom is still alive, so if he had any money, it would go to his mom." And Vicki was like, "I don't care.
I don't care." And then Heather just yells, like, she's screaming at her and was like, "We built everything that we have," and then kisses her on her cheek and, like, walks off and was like, "Fucking bitch." But she was, like, joking.
Oh.
Like, it wasn't a mean fucking bitch.
And then, I don't know how you can say that in a nice way, but-
Yeah, me neither
...
it didn't seem like it was a bad way.
[laughs] I, but see, this is also a moment, going back to what we were saying about Heather.
Like, Vicki's like, "I don't care."
Yeah.
And the thing is, Heather shouldn't either.
Like, at the end of the day, you s- you got it.
Yeah.
It doesn't matter-
How
How... how unless, you know, she's not saying he did something illegal.
She's just saying, like-
Listen
...
Terry's successful, but part of the, the wealth-
If I had to inherit-
... is coming from somewhere else
... $100 million, I'd be fine with it.
And if people wanna say-
I have to look up to see who's-
If I've worked really, really hard, and then I inherited $100 million and the only reason why I have money is because I inherited $100 million, as long as I get the $100 million, that's fine with me.
Yeah, like you didn't do anything crazy to get it.
It's sad how you got it.
I'm looking at who his brother is.
His brother's a rock star.
Oh, really?
I never knew this.
Who was his brother?
His brother was in a band called Quiet Riot, um, for 12 years, and then they picked it up again in 1993.
But Quiet Riot, uh, yeah, like this goes...
It l- all that to say, it leads to the whole, he, uh, Heather cares in ways-
What people think.
Yeah
... yes.
And it's like, be cool.
You know? Like, don't be unc- uncool.
Is that what Luann said?
Yeah.
[laughs] Be cool.
Like, just-
She also clearly wants, um, she wanted a moment at her party.
She wanted a moment at her party.
And I'm not...
I can't remember the full history of this, but she and Vicki are not clo- that close.
Are they?
Not that I remember.
Yeah.
So I wonder-
I mean, close enough
...
if there's, like, a desire to be...
Well, I mean, well, not right now.
No, not really.
I, like, give us that memory lane.
That's the memory lane we should've gotten.
Where do, like, where do these, where do these relationships...
What's the history of these relationships? Because both of them have come and gone, so I'm sorry.
It's like I've-
Like, how much did they overlap? Yeah, I don't know.
They also, she made, like, a joke on, in her speech at her party where she was like, "Historical friendships." Um, there seems to be a lot of historical friendships on this show.
Like, whether, whether Heather wants to admit it or not, she did say, "I have so much history with Tamara, so I let her get away with more things."
Mm-hmm.
And Tamara and Vicki have both said that about each other as well.
Um, and it is interesting.
Like, I feel like if you've been friends for long enough, you're gonna go through some shit, especially if you're on a Housewives show.
Um-
Mm-hmm
...
so maybe these people give each other a little bit more leniency.
Yeah.
I would think that too.
Like, I, I, like, you know your older friends, you know who they are, and you're like, "Ugh, that's just so-and-so."
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
You know what I mean? And you just kinda, you've kinda like learned to accept that friend and meet them where they are, because to you, the friendship is, is bigger than, like, I don't know, something they may do that's annoying, or they, or whatever.
Um, what do you think about the new, the new housewife?
We didn't get a lot of her.
Jen's friend.
I'm glad it's Jen's friend.
We need Jen to have a friend.
I actually like that it's her friend.
I don't know how close they actually are, but, um, they, because it seemed like Jen did some, like, she was like, "She also was a Playmate, and I didn't even know that." And then she was, like, asking her questions about being a Playmate, um, in the car ride over to Heather's, um, party.
Uh, Carmella, this is what we know so far.
It's not a lot.
Carmella, she's a realtor, and she used to be a Playmate, and she did not live at the mansion.
She lived, she lived across the street from the mansion in a bunny house, or the, yeah, that's what you call it, a bunny cottage, something like that.
And-
Mm-hmm
... which I didn't even know they had houses across the street, so I'd like to see-
I didn't either
... what these bunny cottages look like.
Um, can you imagine just living in that neighborhood? Like, he lived in the Beverly Hills Flats.
Well-
Did he? I thought he lived in Westwood
...
he, no.
Like, I'm sorry, Holmby Hills.
Yeah, yeah.
I thought he lived in Holmby Hills.
Mm-hmm, he did.
Um, that's why I was gonna say, like, adjacent to the Beverly Hills Flat- Flats, um, just a little bit, uh, west.
Um, but, like, have, I'm assuming you've been there before.
It is literally, like, the most regular, regular-
No, Kelly, I've never been there.
[laughs]
No, no, not the, not the Playboy Mansion.
[laughs]
But you've been to Holmby Hills before.
Yes, but we needed to be, we need it to be clear.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
[laughs]
Okay, okay, okay.
I was like, what do you mean?
I was like, "Oh."
Yeah, I have not been to the Play- I have not been to the Playboy Mansion either.
[laughs]
Um, but I'm saying, like, I have friends that live in that area, and-
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
...
I was gonna call it a regular, regular neighborhood.
It is not, 'cause the average home there is about-
No
... $12 million
...
but it's quiet.
But it's like a quiet-
It should quiet
... um, normal-
Yeah
... neighborhood, not price-wise, but, like, and not what the houses look like 'cause they're all very big, but, like, it looks like a normal neighborhood.
Very community friendly.
Mm-hmm.
Like, there's a nice park in that neighborhood, and it's just so interesting to me that, like, you would just, like, drive by and there's the Playboy Mansion, and then there's-
Yeah
... there's the bunny cottages on the other [laughs] side.
But-
I don't think you can tell, but...
You can't tell what?
'Cause isn't it, that it's the Play- like, that it's... 'Cause there's, like-
No, no
... a wall around it
... there's just not, like, a billboard or anything.
Yeah.
No, you can't really tell.
[laughs]
I just think-
Can you imagine?
This...
No.
This way.
Yeah.
[laughs]
Like, a big neon sign lit up.
[laughs]
It's just wild because it wasn't that long ago.
No, I know.
Like, that there was-
I know
...
this house in this regular-ish neighborhood that had an old man with a bunch of younger women, and then houses across the street for his other younger women.
Like, that's nuts to me.
But anyways.
Yeah.
Uh, she lived-
Yeah
...
in a bunny cottage, and she said she never slept with Hef.
Um-
I mean..
... that's all we got
...
they all say that.
Yeah.
They all used to say that.
Even even when-
They used to say that.
I feel like they've come out more recently
...
even when, uh, since the documentary.
Yeah.
Yes, the, since there've been documentaries.
But, like, yeah, like, even when the reality show happened, they made it seem like- That's not what they were doing
...
they never explicitly said that they slept with him.
Yeah.
I just, I feel like if you stayed there-
I used to watch that show.
Buddy?
Loved it.
Loved it.
Yeah.
[laughs]
[laughs] I feel like if you stayed there, anything could happen.
There's a chance that anything-
Um
... could happen, yeah.
Yeah.
But she seemed pretty open to talking about it, and, um, that's all the information we got about her.
The party started and ended.
And ended.
It ended-
And ended
...
And to-
She compartmentalizes the friendship.
That's exa- literally, that's the exact sentence that Jen said.
And, um, then Tamra was like, "Okay.
Well, I'm gonna process this information and get back to you," and then left the party.
Like, I don't think that that's a problem.
Well, Heather was pissed-
I think Tamra-
... that Jen said it.
Oh, well, of course Heather's pissed that Jen said it.
Yeah, yeah.
But at the same time, 'cause she knows Tamra won't receive that well.
Because you're saying that there's something, there's an issue.
I can't accept all of you, but I wanna be your friend.
And so I can only be your friend a certain way.
Mm-hmm.
And that's by, you know, putting you in, in, in a box, whatever, for the benefit of the friendship.
So Jen and Tamra are cool because they-
Ish.
I think Jen's just very forgiving.
I think Jen will get along to get along, for the get-along.
You know what I mean? Like-
I don't think she's-
... it's not that serious
...
there with Tamra yet.
I think she wants everyone to say how they feel about Tamra because she's not the only one that feels negatively.
But she tells Tamra-
That everyone-
[laughs] What Heather said
... everyone, she, basically she's like, "Everyone feels negative things."
I just wish-
Yeah
...
Heather would just kinda just be like, "Yeah, sometimes you make it difficult to be your friend, but I loved hanging out with you."
But I do think that it's kind of normal in normal life to have a friend that you know has something that you don't like about them, but you're just like, "That's who they are, and I know that's part of, like, what I'm getting with her or him, and I still wanna be friends with them.
I just have to, like, know that that could come up." The difference is-
Yeah
...
I'm not saying it on camera to other people.
I just was about to say that.
Yeah.
I was like, you know who you say that to, Callie?
Yeah.
Yourself.
Yeah.
Right.
[laughs] And that's, but that's what-
Yeah.
But Heather told somebody, you know what I mean?
She told the entire group.
I mean, actually in real life, 'cause I can think of, like, I've been like, listen.
Love her, but-
Yeah, but not with-
You know
...
if there was a camera in front of me, I'm never saying that.
No, which is why-
And then if you're-
I'm not gonna say it to anybody I'm close with.
If there's a camera in front of it, if there's a camera in front of me and I'm saying it, then I should also know that I'm probably gonna be held accountable for what I said.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Um, well, that's OC.
Happy to have it back.
Moving on to The Valley, which all roads lead to Danny.
And-
And Janet.
And Janet, but, like, I'm tired of the Danny conversation because I don't understand why it's, we're not landing the plane here.
Well, we can't land-
Nobody cares that Danny drinks.
It's just how you-
We can't land the plane
... it's just how you act
... because Nia refuses to even acknowledge his drinking.
Like, they both don't get it.
It's not that, like, Danny being like, "I feel like I can't even have a drink in front of them." N- you can drink.
You can get drunk, as long as you don't start touching people inappropriately when you drink, as long as you're not yelling at your wife in front of everybody when you drink.
That's it.
Nobody cares about how much you drink.
Nobody cares about-
Or that he was gyrating his hips.
I'm like, where did that come from?
I know.
Nobody cared that he was dancing.
He was dancing away from everybody else.
Yeah.
Go have fun.
Like, Nia made that worse.
No one cares.
Nobody cared.
All people care about is how you act, whether you're sober or drunk at this point.
Um-
That's why I'm like, is Nia not getting it?
Nia was on Watch What Happens Live, and Andy asked her-
What did she say?
Uh, Andy asked her, she w- he was like, "Why does he sneak his drinks?" And Nia was like, "Oh, he didn't.
We all knew that he was drinking." And Andy was like, "So he's never snuck a drink? Because we've seen on camera him sneaking drinks." And she's like, only-
And lying about it
... uh, yeah.
And she was like, "Only once at Zach's party." And Andy didn't follow up, but I wanted to be like, yeah, why? The camera has caught, caught him multiple times going to get drinks and then saying he's not drinking.
That was the Janet thing.
He went in the closet to-
Yeah
... sneak a drink.
Yes.
Yes.
Or he lies about the amounts that he's had.
He's drinking-
Yes
...
in front of people, but then he's like, "Oh, I've only had two." And then they'll go back and they'll show that it was like eight.
He's...
Yeah.
I f- I don't know.
I think he thinks his-
It's the denial
... drinking is...
Well, because they've also said, in the past they have said that he might have a drinking problem.
But the reason why they are saying that is because of how he's acting-
Acting
...
when he's drinking.
That's all it is.
Yeah.
And, and, and Nia knows that, but she doesn't wanna acknowledge it.
So I think for her it's just like, don't drink, or, you know, like, you can't drink around them or you can't be that way, because she knows.
She can't even trust w- how he's gonna be.
He's unpredictable.
Yeah.
Sometimes he drinks and he's fine.
At Zach's party, he was fine.
Yeah, he had like one or two drinks.
Nobody said anything.
So I feel like-
But a-
... it's when he drinks in excess is when he starts acting crazy
... on a vacation, on the birthday.
Yeah.
On...
Also, how Danny is it to have your anniversary on your birthday?
Um, I did think they got that.
I couldn't...
I was like, that is so Danny coded
codedBecause the fact that he led with, "It's my birthday.
It's my birthday.
It's a good day to have a good day.
It's my birthday," da da da da.
For like the first 10 minutes of the episode I didn't know it was their anniversary.
Then on the boat he was like, "Also, it's our anniversary." And I was like, [scoffs] "What?"
I'd be pissed if my husband proposed to me on his birthday.
Wait, not propose.
Get m- got married.
Your anniversary-
Oh yeah
... is not when you get-
Sorry, got married
Yeah.
Got married.
Even worse.
But like-
Actually, I was thinking engagement this whole time
... you have to-
Even worse.
You have to pick your wedding date.
But can't you see Danny being like, "It's my birthday.
I wanna get married.
It's the only way I'm gonna remember our anniversary date."
But-
That's what I kept thinking.
I thought, "Oh." [laughs]
Let me tell you, my anniversary is three days before my birthday.
Mm-hmm.
We got married on September 14th.
My birthday is September 17th.
And, um, it had to be on the 14th 'cause I wanted the dates to equal an infinity.
Um-
Beautiful
...
but I really feel like I miss out on a present.
[laughs]
With the birthday and the anniversary being too close together, I feel bad for Danny.
Danny wanted this.
[laughs]
I, he, that's my point.
Danny wanted to be like, "It's my wedding, but it's my birthday."
My birthday.
Like, it's about me.
Yeah, it's my party.
Just like you said for the-
Yeah
... first 10 minutes.
I also think he probably is like, "It's easy for me to remember my anniversary because it's on my birthday."
Well, he also said our real anniversary.
I was like, "So what's your fake one?"
Maybe they got married in, um, like, a, what we're seeing on In The City.
Oh.
Like I-
Oh
...
I got married in August, but my wedding is, was technically in October.
Like, the, I'm, marriage was, the marriage was solidified.
And I constantly think about, like, damn.
We, and we almost missed the deadline.
I don't even get-
And I was like, damn
... didn't you, I, I think I did it all on the same day.
I got married in Cancun.
Oh.
And so did, so did In The City peeps.
Mm-hmm.
I got married in Mexico.
I wonder where Janet and, um-
And I could've done it before.
Like, you can do it before.
But I was, like, in this head space where I was like, I really don't wanna go into this wedding knowing I'm already married.
Mm-hmm.
I wanna feel like-
Yeah, I got married
...
this was it.
And then got lazy and was like, one day I was like, six weeks later I was like, yeah, we need to solidify this.
Damn it, I shouldn't have done that.
[laughs]
[laughs] Everything happens for a reason.
Shouldn't have done it.
Shouldn't have done it.
But no, no, no, no, no.
So maybe that's, that's what he meant with that.
I, okay, a couple of things here.
Uh, before we do the Janet, 'cause that's a heavier conversation.
But-
Mm
...
Jesse telling Kristen what Luke said.
Yeah.
Like, I really just love the, the role Lacy is in the show.
She's like, "Why did you do that?"
I, I know-
Why did you do that? Even-
They were also on Watch What Happens Live, um, maybe last week.
I felt like it was this week-
Uh-huh
... with Georgia, um, from in, from Next Gen.
And, um-
Yeah.
She disgusts me.
I'm sorry.
Uh.
I hate her.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Oh, for the hand washing thing?
She's, all of it.
Yeah.
Well-
I, I actually think she's nasty.
Mm.
I'm sorry.
If, if I was doing Watch What Happen Lives and she was sitting next to me, I too would be like, I d- I, I can't shake her hand.
I know we're not doing Next Gen, but even when she did the cleaning product thing, which I was like, this has to be for comedic relief.
Like, this does not make any sense.
There's a moment where the editors, where she's, like, talking about, "Oh, I don't wash my hands," blah, blah, blah.
And they, they s- they, they put the camera on her feet.
I don't know why.
Oh.
But there was a mo- there was, like, three seconds on her feet.
And I was like, why did they do that? What are they trying to tell us? She's, it's just, it's just nasty to me.
It's gross.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, listen.
I'm sorry.
Not washing your hands is gross.
I don't, I don't disagree with that.
I'm a germaphobe, so you don't have to tell me.
I'm not.
I, mm.
And I still think it's disgusting.
Um, but on in this, on Watch What Happens Live with your fave, Georgia.
They're still together.
But, like, does it seem...
Like, I agree with Michelle.
Does it seem like Lacy likes him?
No, but Michelle keeps saying the way Jesse is with you.
And so, like, I would imagine that it can't just be all Jesse that she's seeing for her, for Michelle to feel a certain way.
It, there has to be some sort of, Lacy has to be reciprocating the emotion, the touching, the kissing.
Because if Jesse just-
She must, but we just don't see it
... we just don't see it.
And I think that fits, kind of like, the narrative, which-
Yeah, yeah, yeah
...
I do enjoy watching it, making it seem like she doesn't.
But if Michelle-
She's so dry
... was just watching it, yeah.
If Michelle was just watching Jesse, like, begging to kiss her or trying to hold her hand and she's not, then Michelle would be, not feel as sensitive as she does about the situation.
So they obviously have to be lovey-dovey around each other-
Yeah
... for Michelle to be feeling a certain way.
I think it's also, like, the way she talks.
Like, she's just always just like-
I don't trust her or her intentions
... "Jesse, why did you do that? Jesse, please don't touch me." Like, she's just very dry and I actually enjoy watching them.
Didn't think I'd say that.
Love it.
I, I enjoy watching them.
Love it.
Um, don't think he-
Ugh
... needed to tell Kristen what Luke said.
And Kristen is so clearly going through postpartum d- depression.
I know.
I don't think she needs any other bad news.
I know.
But-
And not that it was bad news, but anything for her to overthink or...
I, she just needs to focus on being okay.
But as you've seen-
And I think even being on the show is too much
muchI, uh, sh- for sure.
And as we've seen with Jesse, I mean, and these men.
Remember the men conversations that we used to have to see them circle up and, like, bitch about their issues and what their women weren't doing for them? I just think that postpartum depression is not even a thought-
Oh, well, I think it's really hard-
... for, for a Jesse
... to understand.
Um-
But I think we know...
Right, he'll never f- but, like, you know that that is a thing.
And I'm not a w-
Certainly
...
I've never had kids.
Also, you would think that Jesse would get it more than others, but...
Yeah.
No.
Yeah, it's...
That was really bad timing.
I'm actually shocked at the way Kristen handled it.
I would've...
I thought she would've been more...
I, I, I- and maybe she's just, like, hit her, her max when it comes to it.
But she didn't react in the way that I did.
She just...
And maybe that's, maybe that is worse, no reaction.
Mm.
She was just zoned out and silent.
Um, I hope that they're doing much better now, 'cause they were both at Jasmine's wedding.
Oh, okay.
So that's a, that's a good thing-
Yeah
... to me.
I mean, I think going through it can be hard for both people, and I don't think Luke f- definitely is not under grasp...
Like, he, I don't think he's fully grasping what's happening with Kristen.
And, um, honestly, maybe watching it back he'll have a better understanding.
Yeah.
And I think, I even think Kristen's breakdown of, like, this isn't how Luke saw how this was gonna, was gonna go.
Mm-hmm.
He's in LA.
He'd rather be in Colorado or Indiana.
He's m- not much younger, but he's younger.
Mm-hmm.
Now he has a child.
Like, all, like, it's all moving fast.
Mm-hmm.
And he probably didn't think that this is how it would be or how fast things would move or...
You know, there's, like, a lack of understanding there.
Yeah.
And when she said it like that, not that I'm cut- trying to cut him any bell, I was just kinda like, "That actually makes a lot of sense, too."
Yeah, also for a man or a woman, but especially a man, every man is like, "Yeah, I want a kid" and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, but they have no idea what it's actually like when you have a kid, so.
Yeah.
Which we will-
And every kid's different
... be discussing in a second when we get into In the City.
Yeah.
Yeah, we will.
Yeah.
Every kid is different.
Every mom has a different experience.
Mm-hmm.
So again, like, I mean, Kristen's saying, "I don't even know who I am right now." I, I...
That speaks volumes.
Yeah.
You know? You're trying to raise a child for the first time and figure that out, and also, like, figure yourself out in this world, too.
And I think...
Wasn't it Jesse who was like...
It was Jesse.
He's so understanding in the confessionals, so I feel like he meant well, it just came out wrong.
But when he's like, "You are dif..." I forgot how he said it.
I don't wanna say it wrong.
But the way he talked about the way parents are after a child, too, um, I was like, oh, that was a really, that was a really insightful way to say it.
Um, Jesse seems to be better with Lacey.
Now that's not saying he gets it all right because let's not forget, let's not forget how when he's talking to Lala he's like, "You gotta get to m- You're gonna have to go through me first [laughs] to get to Danny."
What is this-
While I'm laughing in his face was, like, I was like, that is the only appropriate response because what are you saying? [laughs]
So first of all-
You gotta go to Danny to get to...
You're gonna have to go to [laughs] Danny-
You go through me to get to Danny
... me if you need to get to Danny.
[laughs]
There's a few things.
One-
One, put my hands up, I was wrong.
About?
I'm very happy to have Lala and Schwartz on the show.
I think they've been great additions.
It's just Lala.
No, I'm fine with Schwartz, too.
Lala has been better, but, like, even having Schwartz there and him, like, having Schwartz-a-palooza, he's just, like, another element to the group that I think is totally fine.
Um, I thought I was going to hate them both on the show, and thank God that Lala is there.
For sure Lala.
Yes, I agree.
I have no problem with Schwartz, to be clear.
But I think Lala has been...
We needed her, and I didn't know we needed her.
It's the outside perspective.
Like, I think we ta- I don't know if I talked about this with you or with Ben from Watch What Crappens, who agrees with my Schwartz, Schwartz take on it, but he...
It, it's like the outside perspective of the person who's, like, not as close with the Da- with Danny or with Nia, who's watching it, who...
Also, where she is in life.
Like, it...
And it's funny because Danny kinda is like, "Go to your husband," and it's like, Lala doesn't want one.
That's where you seem to be mistaken.
You have-
Yeah
... you are, and listen-
He thinks that having a husband is, like, the prize.
To each their own, right? Nia and Danny are very religious, they're very traditional, and that is the way that they want their marriage to be, and that's fine.
They have found that in each other.
Great for them.
Yeah.
But then don't think that that's what everybody else wants.
Lala made a decision-
Which I love
... to have a child without a man.
She has been through hell and back with her baby- her, her first baby daddy.
She doesn't want this.
She is making an adult, a very conscious decision for her.
So when Danny threw that thinking it was an insult, it made me laugh 'cause I was like... 'Cause I've kinda, like, a little bit f- uh, really relate to Lala in some ways with this.
Mm-hmm.
And I was like, you thought that was a jab.
Well, I love that Lala-
Nobody, they don't want what you have
... immediately responded and was like, "If this is what having a husband looks like, I don't want it."
Yeah.
You're the reason I don't.
[laughs]
Yeah.
[laughs]
Like, you-
She's like, "What?"
... you are not the prize, Danny.
Like, it is 2026.
I think, I genuinely think he thinks that he is a prize
prizeAbsolutely.
Absolutely, and I think Nia does too.
And again, that wor- I think they subscribe to the traditional marriage, biblical marriage.
They want that.
They, that is what they want for them, and good for them.
I'm not here to judge that.
But don't think that that is what we all want, and don't think that we are all accepting of the way he acts, the way that he treats you, because...
And, and, and, and you might be okay with it, because that is what you want.
You just want the traditional marriage.
We are not okay with it, and we're gonna speak our minds about it.
I mean, it is...
You talk about, um, Luke watching it back and seeing, and maybe it'll help him understand Kristen or their relationship better, and Kristen too.
But I would want that for Danny and Nia.
The thing is, I bet they don't re-watch the show.
Yeah.
And I don't think it matters.
I think all that matters-
That's, that's a good point
... to Nia-
Danny and D- or Nia
I don't...
Danny f- uh, Danny thinks his behavior is fine.
Nia may have some issues with Daniel's behavior, but-
[laughs]
... um, she wants her family to stay together.
She values, like, a family unit, so I just don't, it doesn't, I don't think...
I think Daniel could do just about anything, and she's...
And, and to each their own.
Yes.
It is...
When D- when Nia, when Nia goes up to the room 'cause she's frustrated, and of course her husband does not go with her.
[laughs]
You know, because, and all he's concerned about is, "It's my birthday, and I, all I..." It, it's funny, because he's giving this in a confessional, so it's later.
So to your point, nothing's changed.
Yeah.
There's no reflection or anything.
And he's like, "All I wanted to do is go up with my wife, us go together, and to have that moment together." Which is, "All I wanted to do is have my wife have sex with me tonight, and I didn't get to have that moment."
Well, even in the morning, that was one of his fav- that was his, one of the first things he said.
He was like, "It's my birthday.
It's a great day to have a good day.
I can't wait to have sex with you later on." I was like, what?
Birthday sex.
I, you know what, that comment at the beginning of the day didn't even really bother me.
It's your birthday.
You want birthday sex.
Typical.
But at the end of the night, your wife is visibly upset.
You're saying, "Don't heighten me.
Don't say things that are gonna make me heighten." She's, I don't like how she's like, "These people are terrible.
These are horrible people." And I like that Jasmine was like, "You need to name names.
You need to be specific.
Don't bec- don't call us all horrible." She storms off, and he's like, "You know what? I'm not gonna go after.
It's my birthday.
I'm gonna keep drinking somebody's drink with me, and I'm throwing a, and now I'm throwing a tantrum 'cause I don't get to have sex with my wife tonight." And she goes upstairs and she says, "Pray for me." [laughs] I don't know why that was funny to me.
It's not.
I believe in prayer.
But it w- it made me laugh when she said, "Just pray for me." [laughs]
I, I, the, the comment about, "I can't wait to have sex with you," it icks, like it just gives, he gives me the icks.
That's one thing.
He does.
He's icky.
But it's also just, like, sh- it felt like, "Yeah, you have to have sex with me, because it's my birthday." And I was like, mm, she still doesn't have to have sex with you, one.
Two, there's been too many instances this season where Danny talks about sex or not having sex because of having kids-
Yeah
... her being tired.
So the way he approaches sex with Nia just weirds me out.
No.
It's not a chore for her.
100%.
Or should it be?
100%.
I was j- I wanna be clear.
I agree with you.
I just, if you wake up on your, on your birthday and you're like, "I, I, I wanna have sex, it's my birthday," I was saying I get that, but you are right.
It does feel like...
It takes, he takes the romance out of it.
Yeah, like it's just so weird.
He takes the intimacy out of it.
It's like, "Oh, haven't been clipped yet.
Haven't..." 'Cause that's what he says, too, in the morning.
Now that part I disagree with.
He's like, "Let's, should we try for another baby? Haven't been fixed yet." It's like she's not a m- I mean, I was about to say she's not a mammal.
She is a mammal, but she's not like [laughs]
[laughs]
She is not some animal.
A machine.
Yeah, like it's-
All of it just weirds me out
Oof
Weirds me out.
Also-
Danny would absolutely-
Don't you just have sex?
... have subscribed to The Handmaid's Tale.
He absolutely would've lived in Gideon, and he absolutely would've been one of the men running the show.
His wife would've created it, and he would've, he would've put her to the side to, like, be the big dog in, I'm trying to think of what his name is, of whatever.
Of Danny would've been a real thing, and he absolutely would've been one of the main guys in Gideon.
Yeah.
Was it called Gideon?
And taken pride in it.
Yeah.
Isn't it?
No, that sounds weird to me.
I don't know.
You can Google it.
Is it not Gideon?
I haven't watched in a few-
[laughs] Why would it not be Gideon?
I, I haven't watched in a few seasons, but, like-
[laughs] Let me look this up.
It's not Gideon.
Yeah, what is it?
It's Gilead.
[laughs]
Gilead.
I was like, I hope think it's Gideon.
[laughs] That does not sound right.
Let me tell, let me for the, all the audience-
[laughs]
... 'cause they'll get on to me about this.
It's not that I don't do my, I, if you even listen to Higher Learning, I will mess up a name.
It is, that has always been me.
[laughs]
I cannot remember names, and I'm sorry.
I'm not trying to be disrespectful.
It's not that I'm not w- I'm not watching the show.
I'm not, I just, it is a thing.
There's gotta be some type of disorder where you-
[laughs]
... like jumble up names and, and letters in your-
You were close
...
in your head.
Kinda.
I would've walked away with Gi- Gilead.
Excuse me.
I know.
Every time you said it, I was like-
Apologies to the Gideons out there
...
I don't think it was called Gideon.
Let me put some respect on your name.
[laughs]
Danny would have been one of the leaders-
Head of Gilead Yeah.
Absolutely.
Did you see that, um, Nia was on, I can't remember the name of the podcast, a podcast.
Uh, she was on Not Skinny, Not Fat.
Yeah, Not Skin- Not Skinny-
Is it?
But Not...
Yeah, Not Skinny But Not Fat.
Or is it, or is it Not Skinny Buff-
No, it's Not Skinny-
You know what?
...
But Not Fat.
It's Not Skinny But Not Fat.
But for the first time, obviously that's a popular podcast, Amanda's done well with it, but say, I've never had to say it out loud, and it's giving homeless toothless.
I knew you were gonna say that.
By the way, that-
Well, it is
... that clip-
Because I'm not sure what it is
... every time it comes across my TikTok, I stop and watch.
Homeless not toothless, that clip with Kathy and, um, Dorit, Garcelle-
Garcelle
... all of them.
What is the name of her podcast?
Cracks me up.
Not Skinny But Not Fat.
And-
Same
... on the podcast, Nia offers, it wasn't even really a question, about how she was Miss USA.
Miss America? Which one was she?
Did she win?
Whatever pageant that she was on.
Miss America, Miss USA, I don't know.
One's, uh, one's associated with some-
She's, it's Miss USA.
No, no, no.
Okay.
It's a Miss USA thing, for sure.
I just don't know-
Uh-huh
... and that they were looking at them like meat, basically, and there was no point in them being there.
He just, like, kinda came in to be like, "Look at all these young girls," and one of the golf buddies, uh, like, put his arm on her waist, and she grabbed the man and said, "Do not touch me." And she was just saying how, like, all women should have some sort of, like, baseline self-defense classes and how it all creeped her out.
Good for her.
Yeah, but interesting.
Wasn't expecting her to say negative things about Trump.
That's all I'm gonna say.
I'll leave that there.
Is she, is she, is she MAGA?
Uh, it's definitely been insinuated by Janet.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Janet did, Janet did insinuate that.
Yeah.
Um, let's put some respect on Nia's name.
Nia was Miss USA.
[laughs] And almost-
Yeah
... and was first runner-up Miss Universe.
Yeah, yeah.
I knew she was-
Um-
I knew she was Miss USA, but-
I knew it wasn't Miss America.
I knew it wasn't Miss America.
I just didn't know how-
I-
I just didn't know-
I know there's a difference
... where she landed.
I know Trump has one and somebody has the other, but I don't know who the somebody is.
Miss USA is the one we really talk about.
That's where, like-
Really?
Yeah.
Like, that's where-
I thought Miss America was the bigger one
...
Camille Crawford came from.
That, uh, uh, the, the...
Maybe in the '90s.
Do they still exist? No.
Miss USA does.
I don't know about, about...
But, like, the people that you think of, like Kenya Moore, Miss USA.
Vanessa Williams, was she Miss, Miss...
Let me get this right.
Sh- she was, she was Miss America.
She was Miss America.
Yeah, I think Miss America's bigger.
Mm-mm.
Miss USA is where the fame, is, like, the known, uh, other than Vanessa Williams.
That's what I mean, like, Miss America I think was bigger in '80s, early '90s.
Miss USA is, like, more modern.
What?
Name, name pageant people.
Name, name famous people from-
I don't know pageant people.
[laughs]
I couldn't name one.
The only person I could think of is, I wouldn't have even said Kenya 'til you said it.
Yeah.
But only Kenya because she's a housewife.
Like-
But Miss USA is what goes to Miss Universe.
That's why I th- I say Miss USA is a bigger one.
But Miss America is Miss Universe.
No.
Who said that?
Isn't it?
No, you-
Oh, Miss America doesn't go-
It's a whole nother pageant
...
Miss America doesn't go and compete against the other Miss Chinas?
That's Miss Universe, and that's g- Miss, whoever wins Miss USA-
Okay
... goes to Miss Universe.
That's why-
Okay, okay
...
I was saying.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
[laughs] Look at us in the-
[laughs]
Clearly we ain't a pageant world.
But Miss America, I feel like, 'cause it's like, "There she is, Miss Ameri-," and that's a song.
Like, I feel like that's tied to Miss America.
Girl, you know way more about pageant stuff than I do, clearly.
Um, okay, Richard Ashton just wrote-
Okay, when I was little-
"Miss USA generally carries higher global prestige because the winner advances to the Miss Universe pageant."
See?
"While Miss America is a localized scholarship program." Damn, not being, not being the, the one sentence of Miss America is a local, uh, localized scholarship program?
Yeah.
It's bigger than a localized scholarship program.
That statement just made Miss America look like Make-A-Wish.
Well, from what I remember, okay, there was a time where I wanted to be a pageant girl.
There was a time.
I can see it.
Can you really?
You're very passionate about Miss- Miss USA right now.
Because I, there was a time where I wanted to be a pageant girl.
[laughs]
When I was a kid, my uncle, Papa Joe, always used to, when I was a kid, used to call me Miss America.
He'd be like, "There she is, little Miss America."
Mm.
And I guess I, like, really was like, "I, I, I'm gonna be Miss America." Like, it was, like, a thing for me.
But I was never really, I was never in a pageant.
I was in a pageant in college because I wanted the money, and so I was Miss Alpha Phi Alpha.
Did you win?
Miss Black and Gold.
Yeah, of course.
[laughs]
Are you kidding? [laughs]
Uh, duh.
Are you kidding? It was Miss Alpha, which I was gonna play the piano, and then I was like, "Oh, no, people do that." So instead, since it was Alpha and Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. was an Alpha, I decided to say the I Have a Dream speech, because I know it, and my mom used to make me go say it around churches during Black History Month.
And I had the March on Washington behind me, and I dressed like him, and I said it together with him.
At the start, this is so good, I'm sorry.
[laughs] I'm gonna keep patting myself on the back for this.
And then it faded out, and then at the end when it's like, "And when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city," he came back in and we said it together.
together.Mm.
It was very powerful.
Do you have this on video?
Sadly, no.
Mm.
These are before...
This is, this is, this is-
Before smartphones
...
the early 2000s.
I'm sure it's on a CD somewhere, I just don't have it.
And I knew, and it was at that moment that I knew I won.
Yeah.
But I just wanted it for the money.
Sorry, sorry to the Alphas out there, but-
I'm, I'm happy that MLK could win that money for you.
Thank, thank you so, thank you so much.
[laughs]
[laughs]
That I used him for the money.
[laughs]
That, that, that's what he, that's what he dreamed of.
[laughs]
But, but what I was gonna say about Miss America is from what I recall from my days that I was really into pageants-
Your brief pageant days
...
they are more involved with, like, community service-
Mm
... with, like-
Impact?
Yeah.
It's, it's har- like, I don't even wanna say it.
It's gonna sound bad.
Okay.
It's just gonna sound bad.
[laughs]
Well-
Use Ashley's def- use Ashley's definition.
Use Ashley's definition.
[laughs]
Yeah.
Like, Olivia Culpo, Miss USA.
Like, these, these are the...
These are-
Okay.
Congratulations to all our Miss USA-
Do you know who Olivia Culpo is?
Yeah, I just didn't know she was Miss USA.
That's how she got famous.
Miss, she was Miss Universe, actually.
That's how...
This is just a pop culture thing, and then she dated famous people, and that's like-
Yes
...
but that's what put her on-
I knew that stuff
... because she won Miss Universe.
Mm.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, she looks like a Miss Universe.
She's very pretty.
Yeah.
So-
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Um-
Um, okay, so we went down a tangent, 'cause we gotta get to In the City.
Um.
[laughs]
Yes.
Let's get to In the City.
Let's get to In the City, because Callie for some reason thinks that, um, we might have a difference of opinion here.
I mean, this all comes down to they go on a trip, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
They go play paintball, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
They get to the house, and there's a room disagreement.
Mm-hmm.
And now-
The two main things of this episode are the rooming situation and Kyle, Amanda at the very, very end.
And Kyle and Amanda at the end, yes.
The rooming situation, it was weird because Kenny did say two different things to two, two different groups of people, but-
Did we see that, or did, are we going by what Georgina tells us on social?
Just on social.
I didn't see it.
So what we see is that Kenny wants to give the, let Yvonne and Nick have their pick because their, their-
Quote unquote honeymoon
... wedding dinner was ruined.
Yeah.
And Georgina comes on social, if, for, if you did not see it, and Georgina comes on and says, "Well, Kenny told Lindsay," which right there I'll say lets me know Georgina didn't hear it.
Mm.
It's sounds like it was relayed to her from Lindsay, so just, just let's just be clear about that.
Mm-hmm.
But she says Georgi- she says Kenny told Lindsay that she could have the room, the first pick of the room.
Yeah, I guess.
Which why would Kenny just tell Lindsay that? I don't know.
Why would he randomly tell her that?
Well, 'cause they were supposed to be planning the trip together, so maybe-
Yeah
...
he was just like-
But why would he say-
... you can have the, you could have the first room
... you and I get-
I don't care.
I, that don't, it doesn't even make sense to me.
Why would he just be like, "You know what, Lindsay?" It's not like Kenny's been on these shows before.
It's not like he's been or watches-
Yeah
...
Housewives-
Yeah, yeah, yeah
... where he knows it's a thing.
It doesn't even, that doesn't even make sense.
But yes, so Kenny tells Yvonne and Nick this.
They're in a car together.
Lindsay and Georgina are not privy to this conversation.
They get in the house, and they're like, "We want this room" or, "We get, we get the first pick because we are working moms."
All right.
Well, first of all, Georgina just went up, straight up went and got the room.
No one was even around.
No one was even looking for rooms.
She was just like, "Let me go s- look out for all the rooms and pick which one we, which one we want." She picked the master, put their stuff down, and was like, "Let's go put our stuff down so there's no arguments," basically.
Yeah.
They were unaware of the Kenny conversation.
Then Kenny comes and tells them, and Lindsay's kind of like, "Uh, no." I feel like the room, the actual room situation should've been handled as a group, and they just decide who gets the rooms and that's it.
I don't think that Lindsay automatically gets the room because her and Georgina are the mothers.
So I don't agree with that.
Uh-huh.
But I completely disagree with what Whitney said, and I'm like, Whitney, I ain't heard your voice all season, and I've been giving you the benefit of the doubt because I love Kenny and because Rachel loves you.
[laughs]
And the first time that we wanna see you stand up for yourself is by saying she can't play the mom card? I'ma let y'all know right now, it's not my fault that the kid card is in my deck of hands and that it's a joker.
But I will play it every fucking time I can.
You will.
I have no problem playing the kid card.
If I am leaving my kids...
I, I think I've talked about this, like, on girls trips and stuff.
If I am leaving my kids to go on a trip, I don't wanna share a room.
I share a room every fucking day at home.
Yeah, that's obvious.
I share a room with my husband and my kids.
My kids are in my bed by 4:00 AM.
To have a bed without that or to have a full night's sleep is something that just doesn't happen.
So yeah, if I have the opportunity to have that, I'm going to take it every single time.
That doesn't make me better than anyone else.
That doesn't make me what...
That's why I think the room situation should've been handled as a group.
But Whitney being like, "She keeps playing the mom card," yeah, 'cause she has a kid
kidOkay, so I agree with you actually.
I think it's a good point.
Not that part.
I agree with you about the room thing.
[laughs]
It would've avoided a lot of confusion, but again, this is reality TV.
Yeah.
It would've avoided a lot of confusion if once they got there, Kenny was like, "Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey," and then said it in front of everybody, "I think we should give Nick and Yvonne the room-
Yes, that's what they should've done
... because of this." But I also understand you're driving with someone and you're like, "Hey, you know what? You guys should have the room.
Let's..." Like, and then I understand-
Yeah
... how that could happen.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But you're right.
It, it, it would've been better for the group 'cause then-
I'm not even mad at Kenny for saying it in the car.
I just feel like-
Yeah
...
it wasn't relayed to everyone, so they went and picked their room.
And then for Whitney to get so upset about it, and be like, "She's playing the mom card again." And what Lexi said-
Well-
... to Whitney, she was like, "I haven't even heard her play the mom card that much."
I-
And Whitney was like, "Really?" I'm like, Whitney, how many times have you talked to Lindsay? How many times did she play the mom card?
I think that she's, Whitney's conflating two different things, and that's where it's the problem.
I think that she has watched Lindsay bulldoze over situations, or like assert herself, whether it's yelling at a table, whether it's yelling at her man, whether it's her friendship with Danielle, whether it's, you know, her friendship with Yvonne.
And this was a situation where she was again being like, "We're taking the room." That is separate from single mom.
So I think Whitney is witnessing that, 'cause she doesn't know these people.
Mm-hmm, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So these, these are her impressions of Lindsay.
And then she heard w- Lindsay in this moment say, "We are work- we are moms.
We're taking it." And then she took what she's witnessed from Wi- uh, Lindsay as her behavior, and then took that reas- her just saying the moms thing, and put it together, and that's where it's wrong.
She goes on, as we see in the conversation with Lexi, to explain like, "And don't get me wrong, I think she's a good mother," and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Lexi takes the situation, 'cause this is Lexi's only role on the show.
She did it with the, the spark conversation, and now she's doing it with the single moms.
Mm-hmm.
Her role is to just be-
The liaison
...
the person who relays-
Mm-hmm
...
the information, which I'll say the same thing to Lexi like I say about Gavin.
What's going on with you? Who other than them trying to fucking have a baby, I don't know anything about Lexi.
Mm-hmm.
Andrea we know because we saw them on Summer House.
Yeah.
But I think Whitney was wrong in bring- putting those two things together, because her point could've been made better if she's like, "I'm tired of Lindsay just like always just like big, like, like asserting herself or like taking up all the energy or sucking up all the air in the room." But she said it through the single mom, and that's all people are gonna hear.
1,000,000%.
And that's where...
And, and, and that's the thing.
That would activate me.
Now, now to your point though, you do admit it's a card, and it's a card she played.
Oh, it's absolutely a card.
So she's not wrong in saying-
But I think it's a joker
... that there is a card 'cause it's a...
So there is a card that you, that she is playing.
100% a card, and, and I would say moms-
So Whitney's not wrong in that
... would admit that they use it all the time.
I would admit that I think that, not even moms, parents.
Yeah, so she's not wrong.
I think parents use it all the time for anything.
I'm late, wanna know why?
So she's not wrong in that sense.
No.
No, no, no, I don't think she's wrong.
I also thought her bringing up her having a nanny, not something I'd wanna step in if I was Whitney.
That's, that's problematic because, because you don't have children, you assume that, oh, if it has a nanny, that makes somebody's life so much easier.
Yes.
That's where I wouldn't say that because I don't know how, how often do you have your nanny? I don't know what your nanny does.
I just, like that's...
You can't speak on that if you're not, if you don't have a ch- have children.
Well-
You're assuming
...
even if you have children, I don't think that you should be talking about anyone else's childcare, and-
I agree
... obviously, um, and her being like, "There's moms that do it without a nanny." 1,000,000% there is moms that do it without nanny, without a nanny, and I don't think that Lindsay is trying to be like, "I'm more tired than every other mom." I've never heard that.
I don't even hear Lindsay really complaining about being a single mom.
Lindsay complains about being a mom, which most moms do.
It is so much-
Yeah, she complains about being a mom, yeah
... work.
And even Georgina point, points that out.
She's like, "I don't think I've ever complained about being a single mom.
I think I complain, and about my kids and make fun of them 'cause like that is just...
It takes up so much of our lives that that's what peop- that's what parents do." And I, I will admit-
Let me ask you
... it's annoying when I'm in a conversation with people and we're talking about our kids, and I know there's people without kids at the table, and I'm like, "This is not like ideal for everyone," like if everyone's talking about kids and there's people that don't have kids.
I get that.
Um, but fortunately, f- unfortunately it does take up a good amount of our brain space, and I can imagine as a single mom it probably takes up even more of your brain space 'cause you're handling everything.
Would it have landed differently for you if she just said she plays the mom card?
Coming from Whitney? Probably.
Only because I've literally not heard her speak most of the season.
But so g- here's my confusion.
Yeah.
'Cause I'm like if... 'Cause Lindsay even was like, "I didn't say single moms.
I said working moms." And Georgina's like, "I don't complain about, um, being a single mom.
I'm like talk about like the, the, you know, like the s- how tired or the struggles of being-
Yeah
... a mom."
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I have a feeling, and you admit that you play a mom card, and I'm not saying it's wrong.
1,000,000%.
You're just like-
Yeah
... like, 'cause like if I was on a trip, I would understand that.
I'd be like, "Give the mom the room." I would say that 100%.
I have a lot of mom friends, and I actually Don't mind when I'm at dinner with like all my mom friends when they talk about their kids.
I like, because they're my friends, I like hearing about their children in their lives.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah.
But you admit that there's a card.
So that's why I'm like, if Whitney had said, "Well, she's playing the mom card," would it have been different? If I had said that, would it have been different if it's the not-
Oh, yes
...
if it's the truth?
I think-
If it's the truth
...
it would be different if it was someone else other than Whitney.
It bothers me that it's like the one thing I've heard Whitney say all season.
'Cause that's the only thing you've heard her say.
Yes.
Okay.
But also it was how she said it.
Like, W- it felt like Whitney was kind of being like, they think they're more tired than us because they're moms, and they're playing the mom card, and she has a nanny.
So like how tiring-
Yeah, it did come across like that
... how tiring could it be? And I'm just like-
It came across like that
...
I just don't think, and I think like w- uh, Lindsay responding and being like, "You're tired from your Pilates?" Like that's not great.
Like we don't know what Whitney's day-to-day looks like.
I don't know, you know better than anyone.
Yeah, that was tough.
Does she have, does she have a job? I don't know.
Um-
She's a co- she has the same job as, as Lindsay, other than mom.
Oh, I don't know.
I'm-
I'm not, I'm not s- I'm not-
I wasn't saying this-
Whitney never says anything.
Moms ter- mom-
I wasn't saying that as a dig.
I was like, I don't know.
We don't know much about Whitney.
No, no. I'm telling you.
No, like, and I don't wanna make it seem like being a m- a mom is a full-time job.
That is not what I'm saying.
I'm saying she is a content creator.
Like, um, Lindsay is now a content creator.
Got it.
Um-
But Lindsay has more than one job, 'cause she's a mom.
Yes.
Um, so her minimizing her tiredness to just Pilates, I was just like, okay, like we, I don't know what Whitney's day-to-day looks like.
Also, I would say it's not just being a mom.
I think being a caretaker in any form to another human-
Oh, for sure
... is another level of tired that you cannot understand if you have never done it.
Before I was a mom, I had a job where I had to work 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM every night, or every day for th- for, for three months.
It was just like part of the job, you had to do it in order to elevate.
And I was exhausted.
For sure.
It's not even close.
It's not even close to how exhausted you are as a mom.
But did I understand that before I became a mom? No.
Yeah.
So I think it's really hard, and there's a million other things that like you can't know unless you experience it.
Um, and I just think being a caretaker to a human is one of them.
Whether you're a mom or you're taking care of a parent or you're taking care of a sibling, brother, whatever, even like nurses to a, a deg- where they're taking care of people all day.
Well-
I just think it's a different thing.
And I would also imagine too that even if you have a nanny or a parent that helps you out or a, a, you know, like a sister, whatever-
Oh, yeah.
'Cause she said she had a nanny-
There's-
... she had friends, and she had, uh, family
...
there is the worry.
Like that-
Constant
... is one of my biggest fears of being a mom is how I will always be worrying about my child, even if they're not in my presence.
School, daycare, grandparent-
Yeah
... whatever.
And that is a whole nother level of mental exhaustion.
But I agree with you, 'cause everybody's gonna say that I'm biased, and I've, of course I am.
You're 100% right.
It came, it came across like you've got all these things, you know, like you can't be that tired.
Single moms have it so much.
And, and, and that is a lack of understanding as somebody who's not a mom.
And so I-
Also, the editors-
... can agree that that came out that, off that way
... it's definitely messy, 'cause they flipped straight from that to a little scene with her and Kenny, and Kenny goes, "Are you tired?" And Whitney's like, "I am a little tired." And I was just like, the, the, they know what they're doing right now.
[laughs]
They know what they're doing right now.
Um, but-
Oh, that's-
I know Lindsay thinks we don't like her.
Um, but, uh, I was-
Does she think that?
Well, I don't know.
I don't know.
She was in our-
She don't listen to the podcast, 'cause we always say she's great TV.
Yeah.
So she was in our comment sec- section.
But, um, watching this episode, I was like, "I agree with Lindsay." And it might be because I'm a mom, so maybe I'm biased, but I've completely agreed with her this episode.
But I, if the r- if it was relayed to me in the way that Lexi did, I'd be pissed off too.
I don't think Lexi said anything that wasn't true.
Sh, no. Lexi said the truth.
Lexi didn't say the whole conversation, right? So like if I came to you-
But what, what did Lexi leave out?
That she said you're a good mom.
Like she acknowledged your, like th- here's the thing.
This is how it would've happened, right? If I was being messy, wait, wait, wait.
If I was being messy, I would say, "Callie," um, well, however it came up, right? Like, and she said, "You're playing the single mom card." You start getting upset, like, "What? What? Whatever?" I'm like, and I might be like, "No, she also said you're a good mother.
She just said this, this, this, and this." That's probably what I would do.
It probably would've, the damage would already be done.
Well-
But that's probably...
And she might have.
Shit, it could've been edited out, who knows?
I wouldn't have been mad about the single mom card.
I mean, maybe Lindsay would've been offended by just that.
It was the-
She was
...
but no, but then she also said, and she said, like, "You have a nanny."
"You have a nanny."
The nanny thing, and like s- that is what I'm like-
Fair
... you just have-
Fair
... she doesn't have a nanny for no reason.
She has a nanny so that she can pay her bills.
Fair.
I actually, I can't, I can't, I can't, [laughs] I can't argue against it.
I keep forgetting about the nanny comment.
So yeah, so I feel like-
The nanny, the nanny, the friends.
You're right.
I feel like-
You're right, you're right
...
the entire conversation, like me watching it, I would've still been offended if I was Lindsay.
Now could have Lexi thrown in that she said, "I'm not saying she's not a good mom"? Uh, maybe that would've softened it a little bit, but I still would've been pissed.
Yeah.
No, yeah.
I mean, I, I also, I do feel like if you're, if we're gonna be like Lindsay m- L- Whitney never says anything and this is what she says, it's also like- Neither does Lexi.
But that's me being defensive for my friend.
That's just me being defensive.
[laughs]
Uh, I don't think, I don't think Lex- I don't think Lexi says much either.
But, uh-
That's just me being defensive
...
but Lexi didn't offend anyone, um, with what she said.
No, because she doesn't say anything.
At least-
She did say to Whitney, which I was like, okay, Lexi, Lexi being like, "I've ne- I haven't heard her play the single mom card." And-
'Cause she's scared of Lindsay
... and Whitney was like-
That's why she ran...
I don't wanna be on Lindsay's bad side."
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Which there's nothing good that was gonna come from sharing that information.
No.
But Lexi w- it is called self-preservation.
Now, I agree with you, Lindsay was warranted in that moment to feel how she feels, and we'll see it all play out next week in the finale.
Yeah.
I think Lindsay is great TV, but from what I've seen on TV, we could never be friends.
[laughs] Well-
That conversation with Yvonne was-
Yeah
...
I just, I don't know.
I just keep thinking the type of friend that I am, I can be a, an aloof friend because I beta and I get caught up in my own world, but if my friend needs me, if my friend is hurting, if my, if I did anything to cause my friend pain, I am falling on the sword.
I'm a Taurus.
I am lo- how did I hurt you? Like, you are...
I, I just was so frustrated watching that conversation.
Yeah.
It took too long to get to, to, to, to, to get to the apology, for me.
I don't disagree with most of it.
The only other layer I would put into it is I personally wouldn't care that much that this was your fourth wedding to the same person.
For sure.
So, like, the basis of it all being like, "This was on my wedding day," kind of like, you've had 19 weddings.
Well, what if she didn't say that? What if it's just like, "This was my event"? It's like the wedding thing is...
That's what bothered me, 'cause Lindsay kept saying, "I've been to all your stuff." But it was her event, and she ruined it.
It wasn't, like, a public event that, like, affects her career.
She was throwing an event for herself-
Well, it meant something to her
... a dinner for the show.
It meant something to her.
Remember she's like, I...
She's like, her, she g- has the vulnerable moment where she's like, "My job was my identity.
I lost my job."
Yes, yes.
This was a moment where I felt connected to it.
Lindsay would know that, them being friends for 15 years.
Like, she used, set the wedding, and that gave Lindsay an out to use that as, like, a defense, but I understood where it was like, it meant something to me.
It might mean shit to you, but I, but your friend is telling you it meant something to her, and you hijacked it.
You made it about you.
I agree that she hijacked it.
Just like she made the apology about her too.
I agree that she hijacked it, and I agree with Yvonne that it seems like most things have to be about Lindsay, like she said, in their friendship.
I agree with that, which, like, that's a hard person to be friends with.
Mm-hmm.
Um, but, like, I just don't think the event was that big of a deal.
For you.
And I get it.
It wouldn't have been for me.
I just, I don't value...
I wouldn't value all of, like-
But there's-
... do all that
...
it, I feel like if we're actually talking about it, like, if we're actually being real-
Mm-hmm
...
I'd be like, "Yvonne, you threw an event for the TV show, for the people of the TV show.
I've been on TV for a long time, events get ruined.
Most events get ruined, actually."
I don't know.
So most events-
I don't know
... get ruined on TV.
No, no, no, not that part.
Oh, I was like-
I'm saying I don't know if...
No, no, no, you're right.
Like, it wasn't for anything other than the show-
But-
... being like, oh, throw a dinner.
And you know how these things work.
Like-
I know, but if my friend-
...
it couldn't have meant that much to you
... was upset, I just would've been like, in the same way that that would've been my, like, that you have that sentiment of like, it's not that big of a deal, that's part of the reason I would also just apologize.
Because I'd be like, "I'm not gonna fight with you over this.
It's, like, not that big of a deal."
100%.
"You're hurt.
I hurt you.
Not that big of a deal.
Let me apologize."
There is a layer of, which they can't say on camera, but there is a layer of Lindsay being like, "This is how our TV show does well.
We all just can't sit down and have dinner and talk.
That's not gonna, that's not what, like...
It's just now how this works.
I've been doing this for a very long time."
But it also works well that Yvonne was offended.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That was a storyline.
Yes, yes.
It was a drama.
Yeah.
But I just feel like the apology's hard 'cause I feel like there's things that Lindsay can't say of like, we have to have disagreements.
There has to be drama.
Like, that is how we continue the show.
And you know what? If I've been your friend for 15 years, and that's how you have to operate on this show as my friend, I'd have to remove myself from the show.
Well, that's probably why we wouldn't do this type of show.
I was gonna say we wouldn't do reality TV, but...
Here we are.
[laughs]
[laughs]
But-
I'm like-
...
I was on a show where it wasn't about friends
... no, that's what I'm saying.
Like, uh, so random, but someone that's close to me texted me yesterday, and was just like, um, "From one to 10, would you be on a reality show, like, about your life? Zero to 10.
A Charlotte show." And I said, "Zero meaning, like, I don't wanna do it?" And she was like, "Yeah." And I was like, "Probably, like, negative a million."
[laughs]
She was like, "Really? You wouldn't do it?" And I was just like, "No.
A show about your life?"
life?"Yeah, I couldn't do that
... exposes your marriage, exposes your children.
And, like, if you're going on it with friends, there's going to be issues in your relationship.
Like-
Yeah, uh-
... that's what these shows, that's what happens on these shows.
I don't wanna argue with my friends.
Mm-hmm.
I don't want people to tell me how I need to argue with my husband or not argue with my husband, or how great he is or how great I am.
And who, like, I don't want people analyzing that.
I don't want my kids overexposed and, like, have to talk about what's happening in their lives when it's not their choice.
Like, that's not what I wanna do.
Mm-hmm.
Lindsay's been on reality TV long enough.
Yvonne's been friends with her long enough.
She knows what it is.
Yes and no.
I just, I think, I actually think, to your point about the whole this is what we do for the show, this is how it is, this is how it's, it's successful, it makes me realize even more Yvonne did not get, get that memo.
'Cause, like, I have friends that are on reality TV, and some of them on shows I've never seen, and if I watch it, I might be taken aback at, like-
Yeah
... how it is.
You know what I mean? Like, I don't know if this, this world is for Yvonne.
Like, the more I hear you talk about it, I'm like, you're right in what you're saying, and I'm like, Yvonne, this, their friendship might not survive this show.
[laughs] It might not survive this show.
I hope that's not the case 'cause they seem like they're, they were best friends or are best friends, so I hope that's not the case.
I hate when I actually see real friends, like, lose friendship because of a TV show.
Same.
I don't like that.
Same.
Ugh, the first was-
Um, and it seems like they are real friends, so I hope that is not the case.
And I think Yvonne is more aware than what we're seeing, and that might be why she has an issue.
'Cause you're right-
Maybe
...
it is good for her to have an issue with Lindsay for the show.
So-
Yeah, yeah
...
I'm hoping that that's what it is.
But I'm just saying, like, I agree with Yvonne and her, how her and Lindsay's friendship works, and I think that's a rough friendship.
But she seems to have been fine with it 'cause they've been best friends forever.
Um, and I also understand Lindsay's point of view.
But, um, if I were Lindsay, I would've just apologized.
Yeah, yeah.
I would too.
I don't think Yvonne did anything for Lindsay to be upset.
Yeah, same.
But I've, but she's defensive, and-
Yeah
... you know, like, she doesn't deal with criticism well, and that is a character trait-
No
... of her-
No
... um, even when it is coming from your friend who's not actually criticizing you, just saying, "You did something to hurt me." Um, okay, bef- before-
Last thing
... we end this, Kyle getting upset.
We know where we are in real time.
I mean-
Mm
...
this is filming in the fall.
We've already gone through the Summer House of it all.
They've left.
They're separated.
It, I was surprised Danielle took up for Amanda.
But again, we just know so much more than, you know, we took up for Amanda prior to all of this happening.
Yeah.
It was like Kyle's acting a certain way, so it's not shocking, I guess, Danielle did.
It's just weird to see now what we know.
It was also interesting to see Gavin and Kenny be like, "But what is Amanda doing?"
I actually-
But what is?
Now, Gavin, we still don't know anything about you.
But your little pot-stirring, he's doing a good job.
And, um, I really appreciated Gavin being like, "You guys are only hearing one point of view."
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I'm happy that Kyle seems to have...
It seems like him and Gavin are actually very close.
And you would know better than I do, but Gavin seems to know what's happening.
Who, Kenny and Gavin?
No, Gavin and Kyle.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Gavin seems to know, like, what's going on in their relationship.
When, when Amanda first moved out, Gavin went to Kyle's house, so it seems like he actually knows what's going on in Kyle's life.
And him being, like, him saying something and Kenny saying something, I feel like they are seeing more than what the Summer House people do, probably 'cause they're actually in the city with them.
Mm-hmm.
No pun.
Um-
[laughs]
...
but, um, I feel like...
And even Gavin talking to him about headlining Hackathon, Hackathon, like, that's not nothing.
Like, that's a big deal.
Yeah, yeah.
And if I'm Kyle, and we're, you wanna move out and live by yourself, like, okay, cool, I need to make money.
Well, which is what she wants.
Also, which is adding to their stress, right? Like, is the business gonna stay afloat? I'm fi- I found out another avenue.
Like, yes, I am sure part of Kyle's thing too is he doesn't have to be at home, but now we know their home situation.
Yes, he does drink to cope.
I'm not saying these things are okay.
These are all issues, but, you know, Owen said it so great.
Say what you want about Owen, but, like, man, he's like, "If you're bringing up stuff from the past, it's never gonna work," which we've said over and over again.
Like, Amanda is living in their relationship pre-marriage, and Kyle is living in it post-marriage.
What did you think about Lindsay saying the thing of, like, "No, he's cheated on her so many times"?
Yeah.
I was like, has he even cheated on her?
I mean, before the marriage, yeah.
Yes.
But-
But-
...
I'm, I h- I hope that that's addressed
...
so many people have said post-marriage that he actually hasn't physically cheated on her.
And even the make-out video, I don't know if I think that even, I don't know if I believe that even exists.
No, I definitely...
What, what she's referring to, I definitely don't believe that exists.
Yeah, so I'm just, like, also, making out is bad.
I'm not saying it's not bad.
But if that's the only thing that's happened in a 10-year marriage where you haven't had sex for six of it, and I, I just, that's-
He did sleep with somebody before they were married.
Yes, I know, but I'm saying-
Yeah
... how long have they been married, four, five years?
Four years.
Four years.
So in the four-year marriage, I need to know, has he actually cheated physically?
Yeah, they never get specific on it.
Yeah.
Like, I need somebody to specifically-
I'm like-
And I hope Andy did that at the reunion
... reunion, yeah.
Ask specifically, 'cause I could've sworn they ha- I could've sworn Kyle has said he hasn't And I think-
Kyle said he hasn't, but that he has been inappropriate in moments.
So I'm like-
Got it
... is inappropriate the make-out?
Mm-hmm.
Has he just, like, made out randomly with a few people? Again, not okay.
But the way Amanda acts is that he is just out here in these streets.
And I don't-
Well, that's why Lindsay's was interesting-
Yeah
... what she said.
Because it was like, oh, well Lindsay, I feel like, would know, and it made it feel like she was saying he's done it-
Yeah.
I'm just not sure-
...
in the marriage
...
if she's basing that off of Amanda or off of knowing from Kyle.
So I'm-
Mm
... interested to see how the reunion goes.
Um, I unfortunately did not feel very m- much sympathy for Amanda, and I probably would have if I didn't know everything.
But because of knowing everything, it's hard for me to care.
Um-
Yeah
...
I don't think they're a match.
I don't think Kyle was a great husband.
And I think she probably should've gotten a divorce from him a long time ago.
Actually, I think she probably should've never married him, 'cause their lives were never going-
She should've never, she should've never married him
... to, um, align.
I also think it's int- well, I guess, I don't know, 'cause her life doesn't align with Wes either, and now she's changed her life to align with Wes.
So I, I don't know.
Wes, yes.
Um-
He makes the molds
...
I also thought it was interesting that Gavin was like, "2:45 in New York is not, um, like, a big deal." I agree with Gavin.
He's not wrong.
Yeah.
He's not wrong.
[laughs]
I agree with Gavin.
If, if Kyle is a DJ, I don't think him coming home at 2:45 in the morning is crazy.
Um, but there just should, should've been more communication with Amanda on what's happening, and the fact that Amanda doesn't know that he has these gigs lined up or that he signed with a manager.
But I'm like, you also asked for space and moved out of the apartment.
So, like, I can't under- and, like, didn't even want a room with him on this trip.
I, like, can't understand what Amanda wants.
She wants to be taken care of.
How she w- and when she wants and how, the way that she wants it and how she wants it.
Like-
I just don't know at this point-
... that's really what it comes down to
...
in the marriage if Kyle could do anything right.
No, he can't.
Like, they're done.
Yeah.
That's why she moved out.
Yeah.
This is like a soft, like a way to-
Yeah
... not make it so harsh.
It's like, we're gonna transition into this.
But yeah, I would love, and I, I hope it's not.
We have one more episode left.
It's not gonna happen, but Kenny and Gavin saying, "You don't know that.
She's not doing anything," it's like they're not friends with Amanda at all, so they're getting a totally different perspective, which we never really get.
'Cause even though-
On Summer House, we never get
...
Carl is friends with both of them.
Mm-hmm.
So he's not-
Well, Carl has hinted at it
... gonna say anything.
Yeah, Carl has hinted at stuff, but he won't-
Yeah, but he's gonna protect her.
Yes.
Yeah, he won't go too far.
They are like, don't care.
Yeah.
Because they are Kyle's friends.
Mm-hmm.
And I thought, wow, we haven't really seen that before.
Mm-hmm.
And that was interesting.
And even if you say what you want about Kenny, if it had just been Kenny-
Mm
... people would've been like, "Oh, well Kenny's, you know, comes across as, as this." But it was Gavin too.
Mm-hmm.
And Gavin's not really...
I know everybody doesn't know Gavin, but Gavin is so, like, everybody get along, like, a everybody's friend.
So when he said it, I was like, huh, I wonder what he's been privy to.
Mm-hmm.
I was just gonna say, I feel like this show also gives us more of a perspective, like seeing their apartment and how messy it was.
Oof.
Um, and even, like, I think it was, like, either last episode or the episode before where they're talking about how Amanda's high all the time.
And it seems like Gavin and Kenny are like, "You're high every day." And she's like, "I'm high every day to go to sleep, and how does that affect our marriage?" And Kyle's like, "Well, if you're high, so high that we nev- never have sex, that does affect the marriage.
Or when I come home and wanna talk and you're so high I can't talk to you, that does affect the marriage."
Yeah.
Um, I just think getting high and going to sleep sounds so much better than being out till 2:45 in the morning, that it's easy to kinda downplay that versus what Kyle's doing.
I mean, Kyle keeps saying, "We don't talk." I, I believe him.
Mm-hmm.
And remember on Summer House when he showed their text message chain?
Mm.
And it's like she's never responding.
That was the summer.
We're in the fall now.
Mm-hmm.
It's like, he's not lying.
Mm-mm.
And that's the thing.
It's like you're telling me you wanna be with me, but you're totally checked out of the marriage.
Mm-hmm.
And he can't let go.
You won't let go.
And this is where we are.
Um, yeah, so it all goes down next week, and then we get the reunion.
Um, real quick, we teased the new segment, the comment section.
Callie alluded to it.
But C- we did a video last week where we were talking about, um, In the City, 'cause we've started talking about it again.
And we talked about Lindsay, and we were talking about her blowup at the table, and we were saying how, like, you know, I...
People have been saying she's jealous.
And, or Danielle kinda said it.
Like, "That's what it is," when she points to her.
And we both are like sh- I, well, I say, "I'm not gonna say she's jealous, but there's something there." And I specifically remember thinking, I'm gonna say not jealous, because I genuinely don't think that she's jealous.
I just think that there's been so much in their friendship that there's something else that is, that, like, is the issue in there, or some other things.
And we, you and I talked it out.
Well, Lindsay, who is chronically online at the moment, could ma- coulda made a nanny joke there.
But I won't.
[laughs]
[laughs]
But I won't.
Um, chronically online says, which is part of her job, to our video, "This feels like a very immature perspective.
Like, we're adults, and I don't get jealous of my girlfriends.
Never have, never will, but sure." And then Callie responded saying, "She said she's not going to say you're jealous, but it seems there are issues that are more deeply rooted than what we're seeing...
That's an immature take?" Which I, thank you, Callie.
[laughs]
Thank you, Callie.
Now, I was going to respond- A hit dog will holler.
Oh, God.
[laughs]
But I didn't.
[laughs] But I will say that on this podcast.
[laughs]
Because, like, I'm sorry, why are you in our comments saying that?
I'm fine with her being in our comments.
I was just like-
I'm fine with her being in our comments
... you didn't listen to the clip, 'cause she said, "You're not jealous."
But you did not listen.
Yeah.
You immediately got defensive, which is why my initial response is, "A hit dog will holler."
Mm.
Like, you heard it, and you immediately want to be like, "I am not jealous."
Yeah.
Well, now I'm starting to reconsider what I said, because you were too quick.
That's why I was gonna be like, "Oh, okay.
Well, a hit dog will holler." But instead I said, "The same amount of time it took you to write this is the exact same amount of time, if you listen back, that it would take you to realize that's not what I said." And then I said, "But sure," using her words against her.
And then she replies back, "Took me all of five seconds." So are you telling on yourself?
Yeah.
Like, are you saying you didn't listen? Like, you heard jealous and you stopped? Are you saying it took you five seconds to write it? Either way, you're basically confirming-
You didn't listen to the whole clip
... that you didn't listen.
So, like, figure it out.
I welcome discourse in our comments.
I like, I like the discourse in our comments.
Um, Lindsay went on later in the week to talk about being bullied.
I don't think it was about what Rachel said, um, at all.
No, but people thought that.
Yeah, the people were-
Which, um, which lets me know-
People were-
... people listen to our podcast.
[laughs]
People were, uh, naming, um, Rachel in the pod in the comments.
They were also naming others, like our, uh, close, or I should say, for me anyways, I talk about my girl Queen all the time.
Uh-
Mm-hmm
...
even though I've never met her, but I love Queens of Bravo.
Uh-
Mm-hmm
... people were talking about her as well.
And I do find it interesting, because I, I, I would, I would guess that there's a lot more platforms that go against someone like a Danielle or, I know for a fact, I don't need to guess this, a lot of people have gone against West and Amanda, including us-
Mm-hmm
... and said well beyond-
Mm-hmm
... comments of the show, and I don't ever hear, uh, Lindsay or anyone talking, uh, about bullying.
Yeah.
Um, we've said on this podcast, like, if you're gonna be on reality TV, people are gonna talk about you, and people are going to talk about your behavior.
And that doesn't mean you have to agree with it, but that's part of what you're signing up for when you go on these shows.
Which-
Mm-hmm
...
I would assume Lindsay is aware of.
I don't want anyone to, like, go into a deep depression.
I don't want anyone to hurt themselves.
I don't think either of us do, to be clear.
And there's a big difference between being like, "We don't agree with their behavior," or, "I don't wanna watch them anymore," or whatever it is that we say, and going and commenting on stuff, "You're the worst.
We hate you.
Uh, KYS." Like, all of that, that's insane behavior.
And now I wish I could talk about you.
There's a difference-
[laughs]
... between talking about the behavior and bullying someone.
I just wanna be clear about that.
I think it's totally fine to have discourse on shows that are on TV that you're getting paid to do, period.
Well said.
Totally agree.
But if you're gonna come in the comments, come correct.
[laughs]
'Cause I'm not the one, right? Like, I'm not on your show.
I'm not a cast member.
Like, don't insinuate...
You know, like, if I'm wrong, this, this...
Let me just say, I'm, I will take constructive criticism.
I grew up in a household that was full of it.
So I have been seasoned on being, on taking constructive criticism.
I don't always get it right.
No.
I can be biased.
We just saw you with Gideon and Gilead.
Yes.
You don't always get it right.
[laughs]
I do not always get it right.
I can be biased.
I will admit it.
That's why I was upfront.
I mean, if people didn't know me, know from Bachelor, I was very upfront.
Like, I know Whitney.
Like, I was like, "I'm gonna be biased." But I'll say I'm wrong.
Like, I agree with you on the nanny and stuff comment.
But, so that's why I'm like, then if you're gonna come, don't... 'Cause, like, what I feel like is when you put a comment in like that, you put something out there that I didn't say.
So now you're allowing people to be like, "Lindsay didn't say she was jealous.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." Like, I, th- but that's not what I said.
This is how things get twisted.
Yeah.
There you go.
You're making me question shit on the show for you, too, by the way, because I'm like, you don't listen.
[laughs]
You either don't listen or you don't understand.
So which one is it?
Or you're defensive.
Are you stupid or are you dumb? [laughs]
Are you stupid or are you dumb?
[laughs] Dumb.
Which one is it? So yeah, yeah, yeah.
But, like, come on, come on back in the comments.
Come on on the show.
We love it.
We welcome it.
This might be a new segment that we do, so comment away.
Yes.
Also, Liz was in the comments because of Chelsea.
Oh, yeah.
You know, Chelsea, Chelsea.
I was really trying to start a little beef there, and Liz laughed, and she said, "I love your voice." Thank you.
I'ma, I'ma take it-
[laughs]
... she's talking about me, and I'm gonna [laughs] accept the comment.
Thank you, Liz.
Thank you, Liz.
I do truly hope you reconsider, though.
I do mean that.
Um, but yeah, I like this new segment.
Liz loves a Rachel.
Come on.
I...
Thank you.
[laughs]
Thank you.
Um, yeah.
And we love a comment.
That's it for us here.
And we love a comment.
Please, please keep them coming.
We ain't scared.
We ain't scared.
Really not.
But I'd really prefer that you came on the show.
Yeah, we'd love that too.
Let's talk, have a conversation.
We'll take a comment, but we'd prefer a conversation.
[laughs]
Um, with that being said, [laughs] that is it for us here on Morally Corrupt.
Hope you guys have a beautiful weekend.
Uh, stay safe, and we'll see you guys Tuesday for our Bravo news recap.
Talk then.
Bye.
