I've seen all the developments, I've seen all the people becoming big guys and small guys and be going to the top and then getting caught and murdered.

Of all of those people, the single biggest, most significant figure is Daniel Kinahan, along with his father.

But his father isn't involved in this particular equation here because he is, as all the law enforcement agencies have claimed and the High Court has heard as well, is the head of the global organization known as the Kinahan Cartel.

It is based on the back of the Regency Hotel attack, the so-called Kinnegan-Hutch feud.

It is quite interesting that the charges against them pertain to dates between October 2015 and April 2017.

In what started this madness that resulted in 18 lives being taken, 16 of them taken by the Kinnaghan cartel, Gary Hutch, who would have been considered gangland royalty, the nephew of the monk, was part of Daniel Kinnaghan's gang.

This was an agreement that was reached between Daniel Kinahan, his father, and Gerry Hutch.

There was accusations of people turning, stabbing each other in the back, which all criminals do, and Gerry Hutch certainly had tried to do that.

In October, on the same day he was murdered, a team were sent to murder his father, Patsy Hutch, Gerry Hutch's brother.

That then led to the Regency Hotel, one of the most, what we call a spectacular, not in a positive way, but a narco-terrorist style spectacular where three members of a five-member hit team dressed as combat uniforms stormed the Regency Hotel.

And then that unleashed this unprecedented cycle of violence, the likes of which we'd never seen here before.

In that period of time from the day of the Regency in February of 2016 until about the end of 2017, another 14 people were murdered by the Kinahan cartel.
