Now, one common objection people get a lot in sales, in business, in negotiations, whether you're negotiating a big property deal, negotiating a big business acquisition, whatever you're negotiating is, I need to think about it, or let me think about it, all right? And this is very, very, very, very common.

In fact, you've probably done it yourself, right? You've probably been offered something before and you've actually said, I need to go and think about it.

Now, let's just analyze this for a second, because there's a few things going on here.

When someone says, I need to think about it, there may well be an element of truth in there.

So rather than tell you the truth that it's too expensive, not interested, it looks like a scam, how do I know it's going to work for me? It's just...

let me think about it because most people are programmed in fact we all are unconsciously to take the easy way out and the easy way out is to say i'll think about it right it avoids conflict it gives you some breathing space all that kind of stuff okay so that's the number one reason why some people perhaps are saying that it's a smokescreen okay now on the other side there might actually be some truth in that here's the problem though If you let them go away and think about random stuff without being super specific, then do you actually think you're going to be the first thing on their mind when they put the phone down, when they step out of that meeting? Do you really think so? Like, let's be honest.
