This week, we are releasing another episode from the back catalog, and it's a conversation with one of my favorite hosts, someone that I have been working with for years, and she really has such a wonderful energy.

I, I know you're gonna love listening to this, uh, and I love chatting with her, whether it's through email, on a Zoom call, or through a podcast interview.

She's Lisa Smith, uh, the host of Pretty Well, and she's a functional medicine dietician, gut health coach, and a nutritionist.

I picked this one because Lisa really shared some interesting insights, in my opinion.

Before Pretty Well even launched, she studied a successful podcast, the intro, the length of the jingle, the structure, the pacing, and used it as a blueprint before recording a single episode.

Then once she was ready, she and her co-host sat down and banked out 15 episodes in three weeks so that by launch day, she arrived ready with a real content calendar, and it was solidly laid out.

But the moment that I really enjoyed in this conversation that really stayed with me was how she made physical postcards with a QR code on them.

It was actually her son's idea, and then she left stacks of them in local coffee shops, and people could scan one and start listening, and she also went out to, uh, a local beach town and handed out these postcards to people, and I just thought that was so creative and so inspiring that it shows that it doesn't matter what your budget or your background, you can go out and put in the work and market your podcast in so many different ways.

And as a result of her podcast, she said that she actually had many people coming to her.

She previously had a brick-and-mortar business, and they would come from far away just to visit her and work with her, and some of them would say, "I feel like I already know you," just because of the podcast.

So if you're building a podcast to support your business, this is one you're going to really love listening to.

My guest today is the host of Pretty Well, a podcast helping listeners achieve holistic health, digestive wellness, and happy hormones.

The show receives roughly 3,000 monthly listeners and covers a wide variety of topics in holistic health, from how to slow down aging to how to boost your energy.

She's also a dietician, gut health coach, and nutritionist with master's degrees in nutrition and human biology.

She helps her clients achieve radical life-changing health transformations based on small, consistent steps.
