Singer challenges identity built from past stories
Let's call the talk, I don't title the talks before I talk, but this is what's coming out, Living With Ego.
How would you like to talk about that? What's it like to live with ego, and what do you do about it? 'Cause it's much deeper than you think it is.
[laughing] It's the right temple, okay? You're having a conversation with somebody, even a friend or even a significant other.
When you walk away from that conversation, have you ever found that parts of it are still going on in your head? "I shouldn't have said that.
Witness consciousness is being aware of what's going on in there, and you are aware, do you know that? You don't wanna be.
You wanna be aware so you can judge yourself and judge others to try to make them be the way you think they should be.
It's the thought you had about a conversation you might have had ten years ago, or you might have four days from now.
It doesn't stop, does it? Like we've talked about, when your natural state of your mind is total stillness, doesn't mean you can't create intellectual thoughts and so on, but this whole personal thing, which everything I just example I just gave you, are personal thoughts.
How do you know they're personal thoughts? They have the words I, me, or mine in them.
