We are beginning our ministry year around here, and we've been talking about what it means to reclaim the way of Jesus in your life.

Not just more knowledge, but more reflection about whether or not our daily decisions parallel the way of Jesus.

If you are joining us at one of our Bay Area campuses, welcome, welcome, welcome.

And I hope that you've already found some folks, if you're new or newer to Menlo, who are excited to get to know you and help you take your next steps here.

We have spent the last several weeks in this series already breaking down the kingdom qualities of what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

More than just someone who knows a lot about Jesus, but someone who goes in the direction of Jesus with their life.

Last week, we got a picture from James 3 about what it looks like to be a thoughtful witness, especially with our words.

And if you missed that, I'd highly encourage you to go back online and catch it up.

Today, we are going to talk about what it means to be a sacrificial developer, the fourth and final profile.

And if you've never been here before or never heard me speak, before I speak, I pray kneeling.

And I do that in part because I want to remind myself and remind all of us the reason we can be sacrificial developers is because we follow Jesus who sacrificed everything to develop a relationship with us.

So wherever you are in your faith today, would you pray with me? God, thank you.

Thank you that we really can walk into a room like this one, just had a conversation with a couple after this last service, and one person who's passionately following you, and one person who's just grateful to not feel judged when they're not really sure about things, but grateful to be here.

And so, God, we pray for everyone along that spectrum that you would meet us right where we are and give us the love that only you can, that we might receive it and find peace that can only be found in you.
