We all want more energy and somehow it seems that running on empty is a normal part of life. Your energy isn’t an unlimited resource—and understanding what’s draining yours may be the key to finally…
We have so much to talk about when it comes to energy, and I tell you what, it is, at least for me, it is back to school season, and I feel this need for more energy and, like, never more than in this season when it comes to all the new activities, all the to-do lists, all the back to school meetings, all the needs that the kids have, the school supplies and the scheduling and who's driving where and getting the work done that I wanna get done, all of it.
Some of you are in different seasons, but we all have those seasons of life where we feel like we need or want more energy.
When I talk with women, one of the top needs and requests is how to feel more energetic, how to have more energy, and that'll come around in different ways.
"I want more motivation." And really when we dig in, it's that they are feeling tired.
Sometimes it comes in the form of feeling really lethargic with more kind of the, "I just kind of sit on the couch and can't really get that excitement to get up and do things because I'm just so tired." And then a lot of us, especially in this kinda midlife, perimenopause, menopausal transition time, we can't sleep at night, right? The time when you should be sleeping, you can't sleep.
But the thing that you feel like would give you more energy, sleep, is really hard to come by.
Like I said, I'm in the back to school season, so definitely very much with school-aged kids.
But a lot of us also are caretaking for elderly parents or for partners or we have job transitions happening or it just feels like the state of the world sometimes just drags us down and sucks our energy.
So energy is a really, really big need that I hear from women, and I can very much relate to this personally.
This might be a mindset shift for many of you, and I think it will really be a game changer when it comes to how you view energy, both finding energy and using energy.
All right? So there's a big kind of, like I said, mindset shift that we're gonna talk about that's really important.
Then we're gonna talk about what might take your energy, so what uses your energy, what might take your energy away, and then how to gain more energy.
And a lot of this is going to be long-term, meaning the strategies we're talking about are going to serve you In the coming days, in the coming weeks, in the coming months.
I also recognize there are moments when you're gonna feel like, "I need energy today, like last minute.
