Actually, before you shut up, why don't you tell us what you were playing this past week?
Yeah, so a lot of my time was split between Aion 2, which is to be expected because of the Choose My Adventure column.
And kind of slowly working my way through that one, kind of in my mid-20s, mid to low-20s now in terms of level.
I'm starting to get into that point where, you must have experienced this plenty of times yourself, with theme park MMORPGs especially, where you sort of just fall into a routine of, this is the stuff that this game does, these are my combat buttons, and I'm kind of like, I haven't mastered it, but I understand what's happening to you.
You understand what I'm referring to? Nope.
Oh, cool.
All right.
Are you talking about being on autopilot or just kind of having a feel of the game?
A little bit of both, actually.
Mostly getting a feel for the game more than autopilot, which is still, I think, a pretty good thing considering people just sort of assume that Ion 2 plays itself.
And that still doesn't really feel quite like the case.
I that's is wholly because I am not utilizing the macros that are possible that you can like just turn multiple combat actions into one or two button presses.
I refuse to do that.
It is an option.
I am choosing to not take that option.
But overall, I'm starting to kind of like lean into things a little bit like the story is actually kind of growing on me slightly.
Even if I don't know who the bad guys really are, that doesn't feel very well established.
All I really know is that Naman is wonderful and I enjoy the heck out of her.
And that's kind of about it for that.
Also, the Spirit Master is a pretty interesting DPS class.
I really wish I could see what it's like in a group setting.
I don't know that there's any group queues that are available to me yet at this level, so I might not be able to experience that before the series of columns is done with.
But I would like to know what it's like outside of just soloing small groups of mobs by myself.
But it's been fun.
It's not been amazing, but it's been a good time, so I guess that's about all I could really ask for, especially when you approach a game that's been just kind of like raked over the coals, By a lot of people almost immediately.
