Dark Age of Camelot

Uh, I think it, uh, there will be, um...

They will do, like, a Dark Age of Camelot.

Uh, there will be a massive PVP, realm versus realm." And sadly, it, uh, didn't happen.

I, I can understand why.

Uh, there is tools, uh, for, uh, layer numbers.

And when you open your map, you can see the whole world, Azeroth, uh, at war.

Uh, what I wanted to recreate, if you want to see it, uh, um, how to say easily, uh, is, was, uh, Dark Age of Camelot or, uh, Guild Wars 2, World ver- versus World, or, uh, Warhammer online, uh, or, uh, something like-

Mm-hmm

Oh, my God.

Dark Age of Camelot.

That is correct.

Well done.

Actually, we're going to combine this with a little bit of news and another anniversary that we want to mention.

So our MMO Spotlight of the Week is Dark Age of Camelot.

A 2001 MMO that came out originally with Mythic Entertainment doing an RVR game.

And now it's its 25th anniversary.

So quarter century in, we are saying hello to Dark Age of Camelot as it celebrates its 25th birthday.

And that milestone is not nothing, obviously.

Like, 25 years, like, that's a watershed for any game, no matter what.

See,

I was an EQ kid.

Ev- You had EQ kids, Asheron Call kids, DAOC.

Uh, RuneScape was around that time.

Ultima Online was around that time too.

It shows my age.

But it's called Dark Age of Camelot.

And I, to this day, say that was the best world PvP I've ever had.

Even, like, you would get in groups, you'd roam, and you'd take over, like, castles and stuff and strongholds.

Dark Age of Camelot was by far the best PvP I've ever played.

And the old school WoW and all that stuff coming back the way that is, it just reminds me of how good PvP can be.

Forever looks like it might bring some of that back.
