Yeah.
But, uh, [laughs] yeah, personally, I, uh, as you can probably imagine, I didn't get a whole lot of time to play.
But when I did, I was, uh, immediately leaping right into Final Fantasy XIV because, uh, patch 7.56 came out.
So, uh, just kind of wrapped up the very, very, very last story of the, uh, MSQ before the Evercold expansion drops next year.
And, uh, sort of had a little bit of a casual time with the Beastmaster limited job that they added.
And-
How does that work?
As far as the limited job in general, or just the Beastmaster in specific?
The Beastmaster.
It's, it's a pet class, effectively.
Um, and I'm really, really generalizing 'cause, mostly because I haven't gotten very far.
Uh, Elliott's, uh, uh, latest Wisdom of Nym actually goes into it a little bit better than I certainly can, especially because he got to the level cap of 50 in the crucible, uh, board thing that they added, too.
But in, in essence, you run around, you sort of, like, scan if there is a, a monster that you can actually tame, and then you just sort of, like, beat it down a little bit, long enough to, like, get it to a pretty low health, and then, like, use an ability that allows you to trap it when you finish the fight.
Uh, like, the chance is improved if it's a lower level than you.
Uh, and there is also, like, some rotational stuff going on.
I haven't, uh, fully unlocked it, but you...
Like, depending upon the monster that you have at your side, you can engage an ability that then chains into telling your monster to do an attack, and then you can, like, summon up to three.
You can, like, rotate amongst three different monsters you can summon.
And, and, like, there's a whole, like, sequence of abilities and skills that you tick off in order to just unleash a whole bunch of damage.
And I'm led to believe, too, that, or led to understand, I should say, that the, the whole endgame crucible thing that's specifically for the Beastmaster only, uh, which is, like, kinda like a, a rogue-like challenge mode kind of a thing.
Like, a, I don't wanna necessarily call it a tower climb, but it has this sort of steps of progression from, like, one end of a map to another or one end of a board to another.
It's all, like, instanced fights where you have to surmount challenges, and, and that's how you level up your beasts.
There's a whole, there's a whole, like, interplay waiting at the very, very top.
Yeah.
