This is the Ramadan of the tenth year, so this is the last Ramadan of the life of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.
This year, the tenth year after Hijrah, was known as عام الوفود, the Year of the Delegations.
And this was a time when many groups from outside, from various parts of the world, were coming to المدينة المنورة.
Let's see what's going on." So many delegations were coming, and Medina at this time was a very, very busy place.
And in the middle of his khutbah, he stops and he says, يدخل عليكم رجل من خير أهل اليمن وإن على وجهه مسحة ملك.
And then he said, "His face is so beautiful, it's as if a angel touched him." Generally, angels are associated with extreme beauty.
The woman at Yusuf عليه السلام's time, when they saw him, they said, "Oh, this is not a man.
So the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "This individual, it's as if an angel touched him.
He's so handsome, so beautiful." And this is before he's even seen جرير bin عبد الله رضي الله عنه.
So the scholars say that it was likely that Jibreel عليه السلام had came, had come, and he had informed the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, "You know, this person is about to come and is very handsome." So sahabah waiting.
