Besant trying to talk down interest rates every day, occasionally investing to try and bring them down still hasn't really changed the trajectory.

So that's that's a big concern.

And then on the other hand, indications like the Philly Fed was the highest since 2021.

So we continue to get this anxiety about the future with good news about the present.

Yeah, and I remain very, very concerned about the implications for what's happening with 30-year treasuries.

I mean, there's so much active interventionist activity in currency markets and debt markets to a degree that it should cause some to be concerned about what it means for the overall economy.

But here we are.

The present does seem strong.

The data that I looked at that I thought was interesting, and maybe we'll still publish something about it.

The newest quarterly services survey data for the United States came out on Thursday.

It's shocking.

It's like services are still up by like 7.7% year over year.

Spending on services are up 7.7%.

People focus way too much on retail sales.

Yeah.

Because retail is smaller by a lot than services.

And services were up in the United States by 7.7%.

And retail is smaller.

It was strong, but it's impacted by gas prices.

Services are independent of that and still really strong.

Yeah, I think that's something well worth, again, we write about it and analyze it every so often.

But it's been the same story the last little while.

It's been mid to high single digits for quite a while here.
