Yeah, no, the news was, uh, I think definitely, um, a bit shocking to a lot of people in the industry, and that's, um, you know, Allbirds recently selling for, um, 35 million, um-

... to I think maybe a, some private equity company that, that bought 'em out, um, um, I, I think.

Which obviously sounds wonderful, $39 million is a lot of money, and that's great, but when you think about sort of where it all started, um, I think that's kinda the part that caught people a lot off guard.

You know, IPO-ing in 2021, uh, with a valuation of $4 billion or something like that, um, you know, they took off very, very quickly.

Um, and, um, you know, what's, what's funny and, and interesting actually is I have a, a very weird connection ... uh, not a weird connection, but an interesting connection to the, to the brand.

I was up in San Francisco, and I got a chance to spend a little time, uh, with Tim, and this was l- literally I think right after they just had IPO'd.

And a little background, so I went to, you know, after, uh, Dwayne and I, um, sort of met up at University of ... or, or, well, the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, I transferred a couple years later with, with, with, with our boy Jonathan Johnson Griffin down to University of Cincinnati.

And, um, and Tim was a couple years under us, and he was actually a soccer player.

Um, if you go back and look, like Tim played on the soccer team at the University of Cincinnati.

He's from New Zealand, I believe, and, um, and I believe played in the 2000 World Cup or something like that for, uh, for, for, for Team New Zealand, which is super dope.

We actually didn't end up really connecting until after I'd left school, and I was spending a lot of time in China, and he had launched his first shoe brand.

Um, and you know, we connected quite a bit, and I was sort of, um ... we would ... we ...
